Plot?

I want to do a plot where there is a person who can see ghosts, though is only just discovering their ability. They meet a ghost who doesn't realize he/she is a ghost and befriends him/her. It is a struggle at first, with trying to convince the ghost of what he/she is. The ghost doesn't remember what happened or how he/she died. They need the help of their new, alive friend to figure out what happened.

It can be friendship or maybe they fall in love, though it would probably be a sad ending, because the ghost would have to move on and be at peace.

Amelia Oakhart- Amelia Oakhart is not the most 'normal' of people. In fact, most people find her to be somewhat odd. Whils she is very pretty, with long auburn hair and hazel eyes, she doesn't have many friends- scratch that, she doesn't have any friends. She always sits in the back of the cafeteria by herself, only eating fruits and vegetables while watching the jocks and peeps live out their social lives. The only life Amelia had outside of school is caring for and loving with her drunken father. She gets decent grades while attending Lincolnville County High School. But on to the reason everybody thinks she's so weird- Amelia can see ghosts. And not just any ghosts; she has seen her late mother, grandfather, and had even had an encounter with a deceased pet of hers. She sees the ghosts regularly, almost everyday, and counts them as helpful spirits who give her advice in everyday situations.
