Much to Amai's amazement, the weird device did cut the sound! Now all she could hear were the people, but they were oddly muted a bit as well. What she could hear perfectly well was the workers yelling out orders and stuff like that. What a wonder!

By the way, this whole thang has got me thinkin' (and I ain't been drinkin' like Beyoncé), what is your type/favorite music genre?))

Akai continues working, sighing with relief and continuing to serve the humans dancing and sitting and doing whatever these humans did... She just wanted to get to the King though... How could she draw him out..?

The next few hours passed quickly, and eventually Rukiella and her challenger left as well, to an uproar of cheers and squeals at their amazing performance. A single DJ took their place, and most of the dancers either left or sat down at a table, ordering drinks. Luckily, it was almost 12 pm, so Akai would be off shift soon

Lucky for her,a those five minutes passed quickly due to her being über busy with everyone just getting off the dance floor. They flew by and before she knew it, Walter yelled that her shift was over and she could leave. " just remember to sign out!" He called

Akai sighs and finishes handin off her drinks before moving to the lovker room, nearly face planting intosomeone's locker door but recoverig and walking to her own locker quietly

"Hey there, kiddo." A voice said. Up ahead, Rukiella was at one of the lockers, presumably her own, getting dressed. She looked at Akai with a crooked smile. "So , how was your first night?" She asked with a raised eyebrow as she threw on a shirt.

" Have you ever been in the forest?" She asks suddenly, stuffing her face in her locker as if looking or soemthing deep inside it

Rukiella looks over with a raised eyebrow and chuckles. "Answer my question and I'll answer yours." She said, shutting her locker once she was changed

" It was loud... I got these weird ear plug things!" She smiles and waves the little volume-downgrader things

Rukiella smirks. "Good. You'll definitely need those things if you work here. Just don't steal them." She added with a chuckle as she slung a bag over her shoulder. "As for your question, yes, I have been outside the city walls before. Even met someone there once." She said with a small smile at some memory before looking at Akai. "Why do you ask?"

" Uhm... I was just wondering if you'd seen the good side of the forest... Not the Witch prisons and so on.."

"Oh no, I have, though I was a bit... Let's say, 'distracted' at times. Otherwise, yes, I've seen the forests and Mother Nature in her ruling court out there. It's very nice, and the air is so different." Rukiella commented with a shrug and a smile. "Though I'm sure you've gotten your lungs-full of it." She said, her smile spreading to another knowing one. This human was so very strange. But was she dangerous? Did she suspect or even know? It was impossible to tell.

Akai sighs and forces herself not to hiss but glances at Ruki," Huh... Well... Ruki... Uhm..." She pauses and looks down... Smiling weakly

Rukiella raises an eyebrow, but that knowing smile gains a bit of slyness to it. "Yes? Something on your mind, Akai?" She said, her voice almost like a purr as she came closer to Akai. The girl's strange but pleasant scent washed over Akai again; not as strongly as when Akai had been pressed against her, but Akai could still smell it now

"... Can you walk home with me?" She asks softly and looks up at Rukiella with large beseeching blue eyes, her lips slightly parted," I-I'm kinda scared of my neighbors..."

Rukiella's eyebrows shot up I surprise before she burst out laughing. It was... Actually, the sound was very nice. One could almost get intoxicated by it. Rukiella eventually calmed down and shook her head. "Sorry... but alright. I'll at least walk you to your building. And my my, aren't we moving a bit quickly in this relationship? Already we're walking home together." She said teasingly, grinning

" Oh hm... Did you think...?" She trails off and her eyes widen," Oh uhm... No! No! I mean if you wanted to- but no!" She squeaks, tripping over her words and facepalming,"... I'm sorry..."

Rukiella only burst into more of that delicious laughter as Akai stumbled over her words , shaking her head as she clutched her stomach. It took her a bit of time before she could speak, and even then she was still giggling slightly. "Ha... It's a joke, Akai, a joke. You need to learn how to loosen up, kiddo." She chuckled, wiping her eyes. "Oh boy, you're even worse than she was..." She murmured with a chuckle before clearing her throat and giving a Cheshire smile. "Alright, let's go before you give me another golden opportunity to make you blush and stumble."
