Dominick's jaw tightened and he looked away from her. He feared if he said anything else, she'd gain even more of an advantage of him, and that was out of the question. So he just walked into the house and shut the door behind them.

She crouched and opened her arms to Thor who had skittered out of the kitchen and barrelled into the girl, forcing the girl onto her butt with a happy squeal

Dom scowled and stepped around then. Everything about this situation sucked. He didn't want to keep her around, but he couldn't let her go, either. That would severely damage his reputation and everything he was trying to accomplish.

" Oh, I suppose that makes sense," she answers and taps her lip, gazing up at him for a longn time but not budging
