Braden settled down on the hard floor and closed his eyes. Pretend to sleep, while in reality resting and planning. Think, think, think.

The door opened what seemed like an eternity later. Three guards entered. Their leader gazed at Braden. "Get up. It's recreation time."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Braden stared at him blankly. "... Recreation time?"

"You get to walk around with our other prisoners for an hour."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Braden let out something between a laugh and a grunt. He used the wall to push himself to his feet and headed toward the door. "Like recess," he said.

One guard handcuffed him before having the other guards surround him- all powerfully built men- and lead him down the hallway towards a doorway at the end.

Braden's face was hard as he let them lead him. He wasn't sure what was in store for him, but fighting now wouldn't help him any.

The guards opened the door and they pushed him into a large, dimly lit room. There was only one other prisoner there- a muscular young man who was leaning up against the wall with his arms crossed.

Braden took one look at the man and decided to steer clear. He glanced around the rest of the room, wondering what they were supposed to do for 'recreation.'

The man glanced at him. There were some weights in the corner, a table in the middle of the room.

Braden raised his eyebrows. That dude was kind of creepy.

The man sported many tattoos all on his arms an he smirked at Braden. The guards had left so they were all alone.

Braden looked away, walking over to the corner where the weights were. Might as well keep in shape while he was here. It would make escaping easier.

The man looked around, although he knew they were under observation. He then stalked over to where Braden was. "Hey, new around here aren't you?"

Braden gave a wry smile. "What was your first clue?" he asked.

He chuckled. "I don't know. You seem out of place. But then, so do I apparently. What were you captured for?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Braden smiled ruefully. "I left," he said simply.

"I've heard that's dangerous business," the man said with a knowing smile. "I'm Max," he continued, holding out his hand to be shaken.
