Nikolai snapped into action. "Tell me everything you know." Nikolai had an extensive arsenal, now he was packing everything he could onto his body over a bullet proof vest. No one was going to harm her, or they would die.

Trae stared at him dumb-founded for a few seconds. "Uh... dude, I don't think we need grenades," he said. At least, he hoped they didn't.

Nikolai snarled, stepping up to Trae. "This is your sister! Tell me everything now or I go without the story!"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Trae glared at him. "The bosses wanted me to ride along on a drug deal. I refused. I think they took her to get back at me. I don't know what they'll do to her, or where they took her."

"Congratulations, you might've just got your sister killed. Let's go, now." Nikolai was already out the door, pulling an overcoat around him to hide the weapons.

"It's not my fault," Trae said, frustrated. He followed him and swung the door shut behind him. "The only reason I joined the gang was to protect my family. I didn't think this would happen."

"Then you didn't think this through well enough! Her life is in danger because of you!"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Stop it!" Trae shouted at him. "I'm sixteen, okay? I didn't ask for any of this! I shouldn't have to deal with any of this shit. I just want my sister to be safe, so can you shut the hell up and tell me what we're going to do?"

"Nobody should have to deal with this! Can you drive?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Yeah, but I don't have a car." Trae forced his voice to be level. "Do you?"

"Yes. When we get there you are going to wait for me where I tell you with the doors locked. As soon as you see your sister unlock them. The moment she is in the car, drive away as fast as you can. Don't worry about being seen, my windows are tinted dark as hell. The car is fast, I've modified it over the years to be the fastest street racer on this side of the country, so you'll get away. And no matter what, don't wait for me. Do you understand?"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"What the hell are you going to do?" Trae asked. "You're going to get yourself killed."

Nikolai grinned darkly. "I'm a one man army, don't worry about that."
Nikolai skidded off, driver faster than he had in a long time. The car screeched to a stop and Nikolai flew out, ducking his head into the car. Remember what I told you. Don't vary from this plan."
With that, he turned and ran down a dark alley, flashing a light down it once before continuing.

Trae watched him go, a grimace on his face. He'd never felt so useless. Remembering what Nikolai had said, he slid over into the driver's seat and locked the doors.

(I was thinking shed be freaked out by him at first because he's wearing a ski mask?)

It was easy enough to find where they were keeping her, the doors flanked by body guards. Nikolai climbed a building and took out the body guards before they could react to what was happening. He'd probably regret putting sleeping darts in their necks later but he wasn't fond of living. He climbed down and approached the least visible door, he cracked the door open and threw in what Trae had called a grenade. He waited fifteen seconds before darting inside, slinking against the walls. Sleeping the bodies littered the ground and Nikolai carefully stepped around them.

Aveline's head snapped up when the heard the commotion outside the room she was locked in. Two men were with her, both of them pulling out their guns and stepping toward the door.

There was only one door leading off of the main room and Nikolai darted to it and listened there was the low chatter of men and the clicks of guns being prepared. Nikolai cracked open the door and dropped to the floor. Bullets flew where his chest had just been. Not waiting a second more, Nikolai popped two sleeping darts into the room and waited until he heard two bodies drop before coming into the room, his gun still raised. When he saw no one in the room except the girl in the chair he put his gun away. She was bloody and bruised and for the second time he wished he'd actually shot these men.

"Hey there." He whispered.

When she saw the ski mask, Aveline's body stiffened. "What do you want?" she asked, hating how her voice sort of came out as a squeak. She wasn't sure if this was a rescue or... something else.

"I'm here to rescue you." Nikolai paused, expecting her to start freaking out.

Aveline huffed. "Right. So why are you wearing a ski mask? You sure you're not going to rape me or something?"
