'Tis Better to be Feared

Travis gave her a puzzled look. "Are you ready?" he asked.

[Grayzers]

"Yes." She said, her face devoid of emotion.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Then let's get out of here," Travis said. He left her cabin and returned to the main deck, where her crew had been transferred and were now standing in a clump with men guarding them.

[Grayzers]

She followed him, anger flowing into her eyes once more as she saw her men. She nodded to her first mate, eyes narrowed, as if they spoke without uttering words. Then she gave a small wave of the hand to the rest of her men respectfully. She would miss them for a short while. Until they came for her.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis escorted her back to his ship and led her to his own cabin. "You can stay here, if you wish. You can't stay in the crew's quarters, so your other option is the brig."

[Grayzers]

She snorted, "Here is fine." She muttered, back to him. She gritted her teeth, gripping her maps tighter. Her men would find her... she had nothing to worry about.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis nodded and pulled some blankets out from under his bed. "You'll have to sleep on the floor," he said.

[Grayzers]

"Fantastic." She muttered, setting her maps down in the corner of the room. She wondered vaguely if she'd be able to sneak off on a life boat during the night.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis dumped the blankets onto the floor in the corner, just right of his desk, and then walked to his chest. "Try to get some sleep," he said. "We'll set course for your... Fountain of Youth tomorrow."

[Grayzers]

She glanced at him, eyebrow raised. "You sound like you don't believe me."

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis shrugged. "I believe what my eyes tell me. I don't chase fairy tales."

[Grayzers]

"It is anything but a fairy tale." She spoke, crossing her arms

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis paused in adjusting his pillow and glanced at her. "You want eternal youth, then?"

[Grayzers]

"No. I want to sell it." She replied

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

Travis smiled faintly and shook his head. Of course. The typical pirate answer. He turned away from the bed and took off his red vest, setting it inside his open chest. Then he kicked off his boots, scooting them up against the chest. "I suppose it could fetch quite a sum."

[Grayzers]

"It could fetch more than that. Men would fight over it." She said

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Women too, probably," Travis said. He unbuttoned his white undershirt and placed it in the chest with his vest. His muscular shoulders flexed as he leaned down to close the trunk. The only thing he was still wearing were his trousers.

[Grayzers]

She looked away, strangely shy now that he wore no shirt. She swallowed, turning to her blankets. She began to set up her "bed"

Travis didn't even look at her as he pulled back his blanket and got into bed. "Let me know when you're ready so I can blow the lamp out," he said.

"Alright." She muttered, only removing her boots as she crawled into the blankets. "Ready." She said,laying down.
