Julianne nodded enthusiastically, understanding. "Three hours!" she said excitedly to herself. Just another three hours and she would meet her brother! A thought struck her.

Julianne's face fell. It had been a long shot to begin with- no! She couldn't think like this. Her grip on the reigns tightened as she shook her head determined, if not stubbornly. It WAS a long shot- but it was one she was willing to take. "We'll find him. I'm sure."
The hours passed in silence, Julianne always staying just a hoof-step behind Joesph, as to not get lost, until finally, she saw a town. "Is that it?" she asked, pointing to the smoke on the horizon.
Julianne followed suit, tapping her foot impatiently as she waited for the horse to finish. But, deep down she knew that it would do her no good to kill the horse in her eagerness to reach the town. "How much longer? Do you think?" she wondered, peering intensely at the town in the distance.
Lupa clicked with her tongue, signalling to the horse that it should follow. The saddle was stiff, and her thighs were sore after the previous day's journey, but she kept her complaints to herself. This guy didn't seem to be very talkative, so neither would she.
