Ronin snarled and pried Seyong off of him. He gave him an apologetic look and then faced his parents again. "You think he's a demon?" he roared. "What to you think I am?" And then he shifted into a jet black wolf with golden eyes.

The mother screamed and clung to her husband while the father wrinkled his nose in disgust.

Seyong petted the wolf between the ears with a sad look of love.

Ronin drew back his lips in a snarl. He didn't think he'd ever hated anyone as much as he despised his parents right then.

Seyong yiped as the broom snapped on his arm, also breaking his elbow. He held his arm against his chest with a whine, gritting his teeth through the pain.

"Out!" Ronin's father shouted. "Take your stuff and get out!"

Ronin shifted back into a human as soon as his sharp ears picked up the cracking of Seyong's elbow. He resisted the urge to throw himself at his father and punch him in the face. Instead, he put his arm around Seyong's waist and started leading the boy toward the door. He'd come back for any of their stuff that night, assuming it hadn't all been thrown out by then.

Seyong whined while holding his elbow. As soon as they got outside, he moved away from Ronin and cradled his elbow. "Don't touch it, don't touch it." He whined while biting his lip.

Ronin rolled his eyes and jogged after him. As gently as he could, he grabbed Seyong and forced him against a nearby wall, and then grabbed his elbow. Luckily, the bone was already set in the right place, so he didn't have to move it.
