The weather was surly, unable to decide whether or not it wanted to rain or shine. The sun kept playing a vexatious game of hide-and-seek behind the dull clouds, bringing hope of a nice day and then dashing those hopes away on the rocks. The ironborn were already a gruff, unhappy people, and the constant weather change did nothing to help their spirits.
On the isle Pyke, in the small town that surrounded Castle Pyke of House Greyjoy, a pair of young children danced in the village square. They were young, maybe just barely thirteen years of age, and they appeared to be two females. One was just a bit taller, with hair as fine as wheat, and exuberant green eyes, like emeralds. The other's hair was an odd blue-grey and one eye was as precious as a sapphire, while the other remained hidden by a simple black eyepatch. The blonde smiled as they spun around and she sang with a beautiful voice.
The pair were one of many different traveling performers, which was shocking considering their age. Their dresses, fancy despite the little money they made, swished around their ankles as they moved as one, dancing and twirling gracefully.
