He ground his teeth together. Seriously, what was it with his "luck" at finding difficult women? "It was a rhetorical question," he muttered, "I didn't need an actual answer."
He closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his noise. Silently counting back from ten, he levelly said, "Arguing with one another will not help the other, especially in my case. Let's just call it even and we can both go back to stealing, alright?"
He made a curt bow of his head, almost mockingly,as he turned back to the chest. He was quiet, if not for the clinking sound of his dagger slamming against the lock.
She was rather good at packing things in a way that made her able to fit more in one bag than you'd think possible. She wasn't going to spare much- supplies were always in short and the more she had, the better chance she'd live. The assassin rolled his eyes, like that was the most ridiculous thing he had heard all day. "Good idea, we could also go shopping for cloths once we get out of here," he replied, sarcasm dripping in his voice.
He raised an eyebrow, looking at her over his shoulders. Though he faltered and glanced back at the chest, grimacing. "You and me both," he muttered, "I was told something was in here that was quite valuable though I haven't a clue what it is."
