Elizah leaned against the wall of the castle-like building, a hood over his head. He had heard that they were expecting someone today, though he could care less who they were or why they were coming today. A prisoner, a new member, whatever the reason why they were coming to this place. He glanced up, frowning. He had been sent outside to wait for whoever was coming by and quite honestly, he was getting kind of tired waiting for them.
He shook his head, sighing. He could be doing multiple things right now, instead of waiting outside. He put his hand on the hilt of his dagger, glowering at the other ridge. The "convent", as Elizah had mockingly called the place where he worked, was on the opposite side of a large ridge. There was only one way to get here and that was by making a zip-line. The ridge was covered in fog, blocking most visibility from both sides. It was a nice bonus for them to be shrouded in the thick fog; it meant that they were hidden, for the most part.
"Let me go, you son of a bitch!" A woman's voice lifted in a tone of anger and annoyance before she shook them free. "I'm not a new prisoner. I'm the new assassin!"
The guards backed off, hands raised and fear on their faces. Good, so she was recognized.
"Miz Kalia."
"Yes, that's me." Kalia raised her chin, defiance and anger in her eyes. "Show me to this Elizah, would you?"
She was an exotic type of beautiful. Dark, dark brown hair and darker brown eyes. Black leather pants, black V-neck sweater. No makeup. Black boots. Her hair was bound, though some bangs hung over an eye.
Elizah lifted his head, hearing loud voices coming from somewhere. His interest spiked a little as his name was called, though he made no effort to move from where he was. If anybody needed him they would have to come and find him. Besides, it sounded like a woman. Letting out a snort, the assassin let his hand drop from his dagger. If there was to be another female here, other than Eva, he thought that the men here would go nuts. He grimaced, as he thought, Let's just hope the newbie's not as weird as her.
(Eva is crim's character, just thought you'd know. Her character as aswag, a "vampire-esque" creature. She and Elizah, through their own inconvenience had to form a bond, because soldiers were after them. Long story short, Eva is staying at the "convent", until things return to normal. c: And that's the end of the story, dear children.)
Elizah glanced at her in the corner of his eyes, crossing his hands over his chest. He was quiet for a moment, wanting to stretch out the silence for as long as he could. Finally he nodded. "Correct. Why do you want to see me?"
"I was told I needed to come to you." She shrugged, restless, felt the sharp bite of the dagger in her thigh. "I am working with you on a new mission, so I hear."
He let out a snort, shaking his head. "Headquarters is really struggling for newbies, aren't they?" He muttered under his breath. In a louder voice, he asked, "Do you know the mission?" He'd rather not go looking for his boss, a little nervous about finding out what he usually did in his spare time. He flicked that thought away with a twitch of his shoulder. Now was not the time to be thinking about him.
"Yes." She curved her lips into a small smile, tilted her head so the hilt of her dagger glimpsed under her ponytail before straightening. "Simple. Just a kill of a queen. Anita Taragyen-Blake."
Elizah gave a nod to Kalia, rolling his shoulders. "Let's head out, there's no time to waste." It wasn't a proposition, it was a command. Without waiting to see if she followed, he grabbed a hook from his belt and some rope. Tying the rope of the hook, he twirled it around his head, before throwing it towards the other ridge. The hook latched itself on the ground. Elizah yanked on it, before looking satisfied. He turned around the knotted the end of the rope to a hook right outside the door. Grunting, Elizah threw himself at the cliff, grabbing onto the rope. Slowly, he grabbed the rope and made it to the top of the other ridge. He grumbled under his breath, shaking his hands on, wincing as they were bright red. "You coming?" He shouted to her.
Kalia snorted. "Yes, I'm coming." She started after him, her gloves protecting her hands. She leaped off the top and landed in a roll, straightening her body out almost instantly. "You coming?" Her voice was sharp.
His eyes widened for a moment in surprise, though he recovered with a grunt. "Good, so you can take care of yourself," he muttered, putting his hands behind his head. "Lead on, you're the one that got the memo, right?"
"Yes, clearly I am." She had a dry sense of humor that cuold easily be called sarcasm. And it was. She enjoyed it. Kept most people on their toes. She started towards a forest. "It's a long journey. I have food and supplies in my bag."
Elizah rolled his eyes. Oh boy, two sarcastic people on the same journey? This was going to end with either one of them finally loosing their sanity. "Don't worry 'bout me doll, I'm always prepared for this," he said, stretching by clasping his hands together and raising them up in the air, "'Sides, I need a good excuse to get away from that filthy place; a good hike is a good enough reason."
An eyebrow raised in amusement. "I seemed to have pushed a button," he mused, chuckling a little. It seemed like he had been doing that with a couple of people this past week.
"Good. Thank you." She dipped her head in his direction and scrambled up a hill. "See that castle there? That'll take us... Eh, two days to reach - then we need a day to prepare and a final day to actually kill the Queen. Sound okay with you?"
Elizah grunted. "Of course, that is just a stroll in the park for me," he said, jogging up to her side. He crossed his hands over his chest, grimacing at the castle. "Hopefully this'll be over soon," he muttered under his breath.
