I Difensori

With the amazing powers most mutant have, why is it that very few use it for good? Mutant High is mostly just for training young mutants, the Brotherhood is determined to use force to earn respect, and the Refuge just hides from humans. Then comes I Difensori, which means, in Italian, "The Defenders." The mutants of I Difensori are, if you will, superheroes. They use their powers to stop crime and protect innocent civilians. I Difensori is connected with the Refuge, and now live there.

Amadeo Rosano
	The blood. The sweat. The thrill. The danger. Amadeo is a guerriero, a warrior. As the oldest of the three Rosano siblings, he's taken it upon himself to be the strongest. He feels it's his obligation, his duty to protect his younger sibllings. He'll never forgive himself for failing to protect Leonardo, and so he works twice as hard to defend Arianna. At 20 years old, Amadeo has seen more horrors than the average person will in their lifetime. His parents were murdered when he was 14. His brother was taken away from him only a few days later, and it was his fault. To Amadeo, it's always his fault. He won't let anyone else take the blame for something. "With great power comes great responsibility." He founded I Difensori to help people, even though most of the world hates mutants. But that's the way it always is with heros--someone hates you. Amadeo spent 5 long years learn to fight and use his power to his advantage. His past has shaped what he is today. Because of everything that had happened to him and his family, he is stony and serious. He almost never smiles. He is strong in body and mind. He is, in a sense, "fearless." But it's not that he doesn't feel fear, it's that he doesn't show it. That's what true bravery is. He is probably one of the least selfish people on the
planet, and everything he does is for someone else. He never puts himself first, even if it means risking his life for other people. Amadeo has short brown hair and, like his younger brother, deep green eyes. He is, undeniably, extremely handsome. But unlike Arianna, he doesn't define himself by his looks. There's so much more to him than that. His mind is like a super computer. He can process information and store it in seconds. The possibilities of his power are endless, but mostly he uses it to judge the probability of his opponent's next move and calculate certain aspects of attack. He also learned multiple languages in a matter of days, and now speaks over 10, a few of them including English, Italian (his native language), German, Spanish, French, and Japanese. Arianna Rosano
	Have you ever heard "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? Or maybe "Beauty captures attention, personality captures hearts.". To 16-year-old Arianna, these are both just lies. Now, "Every rose had it's thorn" she might accept. After one glance, you can learn almost everything you need to know about this girl. Three words come to mind when you look at her: gorgeous, confident, and b****. All three are true. Arianna has never had to worry about her looks. She has thick, wavy brown hair and fathomless hazel eyes. Her skin has always been flawlessly smooth. Her teeth are brilliantly white and perfectly straight. She's not too short and not too tall; about 5' 8" without heels. She walks with a kind of strut that let's people know that you move out of her way, not the other way around. She is extremely confident, maybe overly so, but her cockiness hasn't gotten her in trouble... yet. She's also amazingly concieted, and yes, a b****. But I said almost everything you need to know about her comes at first glance. Look underneath everything she is on the outside, and you'd be surprised. On the inside, she's scared. Scared of losing her beauty, something that encompasses everything she is. Scared of losing her family--she's already lost her parents and one of her brothers. And most of all, scared of the future. Life has never been easy for her and her two brothers. Amadeo, Leo, and her grew up in Venice, Italy, until Mutant Control came knocking on their door. Their parents died that
day, died to make it possible for the three of them to escape. She was 8 years old then. Her complete confidence is just an act, something to cover up the pain and heartache underneath. Amadeo is the only thing she has left, and the two are closer than any siblings could ever be. Another thing that may surprise most people is that Arianna isn't part of I Difensori just because her brother is the creator of it. She truely cares about working to make the world a better place. Her power is to release shockwaves that can hit with a physical force and, when powerful enough, can render a person unconscious.
