Thomas unlocked his car- a sleek, black convertible- and opened the passenger door for Cole, "After you."

Cole nibbled nervously on his lip. "Are you sure this is safe?" Though he climbed into the car, albeit hesitantly, and looked up at him, waiting for an answer.

Thomas chuckled, "I am an excellent driver, I promise," He closed the door and went around, climbing into the driver's seat.

Cole nodded and looked out the window, waiting for them to get to wherever it was they were going.

Thomas pulled away and drove down the street, "Are you allergic to any types of food?"

Cole hummed. "Fish of any type." He murmured. "Crab, clams, oysters, shrimp..."

"No seafood, got it," Thomas grinned.

How they ended up sitting silently while eating their food, not even daring to make eye contact, was beyond him. He just felt... to awkward, sitting here, pretending nothing had ever happened between them. He didn't like it. This was why he didn't want Thomas to be in his life, even though he knew the baby would need a father no matter what. He wasn't good with all the emotional stuff.

"...So how's life?" He asked in order to pass the time at a little more of a friendly pace, twirling his fettuccine on his fork.

Thomas chuckled, "My life is just fine. I can't complain, really."

He nodded and hummed, growing silent again. This was awkward.

Thomas laughed, "Come on, Cole, at least try a little. You may not want me, but our child should have a father, since I am able to be involved in both of your lives."

He winced at the use of 'our', returning to his pasta and continuing to twirl it on the fork. "It just feels weird."

Thomas shrugged, "Well, you did say that you wanted to get pregnant. You can't tell me that you never envisioned something like this to happen."

"Except for I sorta didn't." Cole frowned with an irritated sigh. "If you were any other guy, you'd run away as soon as hearing the words 'I'm' and 'pregnant'."

The werewolf smirked, "Did you stop to think that not all guys are like that?" As a werewolf, he had a strong family instinct and a desire to protect. It was only natural for him to want to help raise his children.
