He managed a small smile. "It'll be entertaining, I'm sure of that," he said dryly, scratching his cheek, "my sister's coming home tonight; she was off with one of her friends in France for a good week or so."
He swallowed. "Listen, don't start another fight with her, alright?" He asked weakly, frowning at her, "I'd rather not have you two storming out of the room in opposite directions."
"I would never," she says in an innocent voice, blinking her eyes at him, "Tommy, why--I just can't believe you would accuse me of starting the fight. She does,"
"May...," he warned, wagging a finger at her, "just please- You don't even have to say anything to here, heck, don't even look at her if you have to. Just please, I am begging you, don't start arguing with her."
He winced. Oh boy. This was just a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at any notice. "Dully noted, let's just hope it doesn't end in bloodshed," he muttered under his breath.
"I don't say mean things all of the time--the other half of the times its either the truth or I'm talking to my friends in my head!" she holds her nose, her ears twitching.
"Right," he said dryly, rolling his eyes. Oi vey, this girl really kept him on his toes. For better or for worse, he supposed. They had finally reached the amusement park, loud shrieks of enjoyment rolling everywhere; little kids ran this way and that, their parents struggling to catch up to them. The smell of hot dogs, funnel cakes, and sweat filled the air, mixing together in a sort of noxious toxin. "Anywhere you'd like to head first?" He asked, shrugging off his backpack.
Her blue eyes had dilated, and she was using his shoulder to try and stand up higher on her tippy toes, "Games--all of them! Preferably the ones with stuffed animals as prizes," she sticks her thumbnail in her mouth, the smell of the intoxicatingly bad for you food making her almost drool.
He laughed at her expression. "Alright, alright," he said, digging into his pockets and pulling out a wad of cash. "Let's go find them, shall we? Unless you're hungry; you look like you could eat a moose," he teased.
"Right and didn't you get sick right after it," he said, rolling his eyes, "we didn't see you for a good two weeks; my family thought you'd die in that room."
