RedRaven trots up the ridge, speeding up when he catches up to her. JetStorm and Thunderstep look up when they approach. The old warhorse's pelt was riddled with scars an he looked quite fearsome

[Blazy]

Blaze looks over the two stallions, taking in all the scars that Thunderstep had littering his coat, fearsome indeed. His respect grew for the older horse.

"... What is it?" he asks and raises his head, towering over Blaze

RedRaven nudges his shoulder encouragingly

[Blazy]

Blaze held his head high, he was respectful, but not afraid. "RedRaven said you might be able to help me." He began, not sure of exactly what to say. "My herd was attacked not long ago, by a pair of cougars. They killed my father who lead us, and scattered the herd. I found two of the original herd, and two more joined us in our travels." Blaze glanced at RedRaven, unsure of what else to say, or what exactly to ask for in particular.

"... So what do you want me to do?" Thunderstep stamps a hoof impatiently, watching Blaze with intense eyes

RedRaven quickly answers," I suggested he ask you if we can help him find the rest of his herd," She lowers her head respectfully

"..." Thunderstep doesn't stop staring at Blaze as if he hadn't heard her

[Blazy]

Meeting the older stallions gaze, Blaze replied steadily, "I would like help finding the rest of my herd."

[CrimsonMoon]

" You should have just said so," Thunderstep's ear flicked and he tosses his large head," Very well, we shall help you... Feel free to challenge me, it has been a long while since i've had a decent challenger," he adds humorously but very seriously as he turns his back

[Blazy]

"Not to sound weak, but I don't think I would win." Blaze nickered, shaking his head. He trotted after Thunderstep, thankful to not have been turned away.

" Thats why i haven't had a challenger worth fighting... They all believe they can win," Thunderstep muses trotting toward his large herd.

Jetstorm watches Blaze curiously but shrugs and gallops past his father

[Blazy]

Looking out over the herd, Blaze spotted a mare he recognized. Trotting over, the pair touched noses, nickering in greeting. "Sky! How are you alive?" He exclaimed, "I thought for sure those humans killed you after you fell into that ravine." The mare tossed her mane, and snorted, embarrassed at being called out on her clumsy disappearance.

"No, they pulled me out, and got on my back with weird things that pinched me around my belly. They put something in my mouth and made me turn when they pulled on it." She explained, "I escaped when different humans attacked the ones who rescued me. I found Thunderstep's herd after I returned and couldn't find you, or your father." Shaking his head, Blaze filled her in on the fate of the herd, shock and sadness glowing in her deep brown eyes. "I am sorry Blaze, I know how much he and the herd meant to you," She nickered gently, nudging his shoulder with her nose.

RedRaven prances happily, she knew Sky was awsome but... This was great!!

" One found, only the stars know how many more to go!" She calls, neighing happily

[Blazy]

Sky looks over at RedRaven, she had grown close to the other mare in the short time they'd known eachother. She turns back to Blaze, "Why don't you and your new herd join this one?"
Blaze snorted, "I'm not sure Thunderstep would want potential competition within his herd." Skay's ears drooped at his words. She wanted to return to his herd, but she had so many new friends in this one. She was torn between the two.

RedRaven nudges her friend's neck," Well.. You'll always be welcome here, because if Thunderstep gets mad at you... I'll just kick his butt, literally," she laughs lightly, prancing around playfully

[Blazy]

Blaze laughed with her, considering the proposal once again. He weighed the pros and cons, but needed more time to consider everything. "I don't know, I need time to make a decision." He finally said. Sky nearly leapt for joy, knowing Blaze, he would eventually decide to stay, it would be safer for them all in the long run, and she knew he would do whatever was best for the herd before thinking of his own desires.

" But... May I suggest you gather the rest of your herd first... Than you can decide," RedRaven answers quietly, looking away shyly when Blaze reacts

[Blazy]

He nodded, he had been thinking the same as her. "My herd was not large to begin with. There are seven more mares, and back then, two fillies, and a colt. Making a grand total of thirteen horses, sixteen now that we have Buck and the others."

[CrimsonMoon]

" Just wait and see," RedRaven promises, nibbling his shoulder lightly in encouragment vefore shying away," You'll know what to do.."

[Blazy]

Reaching out, Blaze grabbed a tuft of her mane between his teeth and tugged gently, before dancing away, amusement in his dark eyes. He wanted a chase, the chance to stretch his muscles, and really run.

She looks suprised, seeming to brighten up before leaping at him challengingly, nipping his shoulder before streaking off with a laugh

He darted after her, his hooves thundering over the ground as he put on an extra burst of speed to catch up to her. Blaze nipped her flank, and turned on a dime, heading in almost the opposite direction.
