A second later, the men from before walked through the door, muttering amongst themselves. The king sat, looking over several papers when he noticed Ludere. He smiled. "Good afternoon."
The king snorted. "As well as a war meeting can go, I suppose," he said. "The old fools don't want to waste their troops on my war. They forget how profitable this war will be."
She stops by the large table and relaxes her weight on it as she looks at him, "They won't fight with you then?" she asks, her eyebrows tilted downwards in thought.
Emerald eyes fix on a map, and she leans back on the table, her fingers brushing over the boundary line, "Your tired," she stated while looking back at him, "Take a break with me for awhile,"
Her face pinches, and she crosses her arms, "You have me brought here from across the sea to just spend about an hour a day with me? It's not healthy to spend so much time on work anyways,"
He looked at her blankly. "They will join me because they see the power and might of my army and also the profit they will gain from fighting this war with me."
"That's not all a leader thinks about," she sighs, her head tilting to the side as she looks out the window, "that's not all there is to war and conflict."
