"He injected you....Werewolf blood. When I said earlier that it was like your eyes were mocking me....that's what I meant.....Another person I care about getting screwed over by that son of a bitch."Rivyn slid down to the floor just outside the door, and had her head laying on her knees.

Diandre clenched his teeth and forced himself to look back at his reflection. There was nothing he could do about it now, so he might as well deal with it. What did it mean, though? Would he be able to turn into a wolf now?

Rivyn stood up and walked down the hall with a sad expression on her face. Back towards her room, she was suddenly tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep.

Diandre picked up the razor and began to shave. When he was done, he stripped off his clothes and stepped into the shower. The feel of the warm water running down his body was bliss. Was it just him, or was his skin more sensitive than it had once been?

Rivyn laid down in her bed, and just as she did she went into a coughing fit. Blood spewed from her lips and she knew she had to find out what was wrong with her. And she couldn't let Diandre find out, until she was sure of what was happening to her.

Diandre stepped out of the shower and dried off with a towel, then wrapped it around his waist. He gathered up his dirty clothes and then left the bathroom to head to his bedroom.

Rivyn had cleaned up all the blood and was trying to keep her head on straight. Her brain was freezing on the blood though constantly. She walked out of her room, hoping for the whole out of sight out of mind canundrum to work, but obviously not. She headed to Diandre's room and knocked on the door. Hoping she'd given him enough to time to get out of the shower and get dressed, it'd be kind of awkward if she didn't.

Diandre stepped up behind her, having just come down the hallway, and cleared his throat. "Can I help you?" he asked.

"Just came to uh, see you."She laughed, looking away.

Diandre smirked. "What's wrong?" he asked. "Afraid to look?" He took a step forward, closing the distance between them so he was just a few inches away.

"More like I didn't think you'd appreciate it much. You do kind of pass around mixed signals."She looked him in the eyes.

Diandre's face was unreadable as he stared into her eyes. "Maybe I was just too scared."

"Scared of what?"She smiled, almost thankful she'd brushed her teeth to get rid of the metallic taste of blood.

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"You," Diandre whispered. "Me. Us. Everything."

"Don't be. Don't ever be afraid. Not of me, Not of yourself....Not of us. You deserve peace...You don't deserve to be afraid of it."She smiled, moving a little closer, her body was pressed almost completely against him now.

Diandre could feel the soft cloth of her shirt against his bare skin. He took a deep breath, his gaze wavering. "I've been afraid for so long," he said. "I don't know how to be anything different."

"Please don't be afraid anymore."She kept her eyes trained on his. She could get used to the yellowish wolf-y color his eyes had taken on. Now that she looked at it. They were beautiful.

"I can't," Diandre said, turning his face away. "Not yet."

"You can...Because I know you want to."She smiled, a sad smile.

Diandre shook his head and took a step back. "Not tonight, Rivyn. I'm sorry."
