Aikaida hadn't forgotten the day that Rain had sent the healer woman to save her brother, Wolfen. She thought about it almost everyday, but she hadn't seen him in months. Naturally, Kai assumed that the mercenary had moved onto another land and stopped caring, even though he had bought her a beautiful dress once.
Aikaida sighed to herself as her thoughts wandered to the miles of mending she had to do at home. She picked out several fruits, a whole fish, and a half of a wheel of cheese. Balancing all of this in her hands, she slowly began to make her way home. It was a while, though, because she lived quite far away from the marketplace, but she knew she would have to manage- she had sent Wolfen out on another errand.
A familiar head of hair appears and disappears within the crowd, the tall, gravity defying spikes one of a kind and the evasive mans most prominent feature. His sword was strapped to his back and his dusty, torn at the end cloak covered him from shoulder to ankle like a blanket from the sun. His small traveling bag was slung over his shoulder, and his arm that wasn't holding it was covered in bandages from a recent fight.
He looked just as tired as when she last saw him; with a slump to his shoulders and a drag to his step. If he was excited to be in Odin, he didn't show it very well.
Through her purchases, Aikaida managed to spot the man and her eyes widened happily. She rushed as quickly as she could towards him, yelling, "Rain! Rain!"
He stops and looks back at her, his gold eyes glimmering for a moment with surprise before recognition floods the orbs, "Aikaida," he starts, "It's been awhile. You look well,"
"This is from the return journey," he explains, lifting it up, "Horses and I don't get along well." he drops it back down by his side, and motions to her bags, "Let me carry some of that for you,"
Knowing not to prevent him from trying to be a gentleman, she offered him the lighter two bags that had fruit in them and kept the cheese and fish for herself to carry. She smiled. "Thank you. This way, to my house- I took a detour to talk to you."
He dips his head and fixes the bags into the corner of his arm, "Are you still living in the same place," he asks, "with your brother--Wolfen, wasn't it...?
"That's right. And, no, I made enough money to move into a better neighborhood. But I managed to make the house seem like the first one on the inside," she laughed. "Wolfen won't be there; he went out to get some other things for me."
"Oh," he blinks, surprise lacing his voice although his voice betrayed him, "That's nice--that place was... on it's last legs, as the people across the sea say. I may yet see your brother as well then today,"
