The president let out a sigh, flopping down in a chair, her shoulders slumping. God this had been a long day, what with the clubs struggling to get new members, the teachers wandering down the hallway, scrutinizing everything, and him. She clenched her hands together into a fist, the knuckles turning bright white. Da****! It seemed like whatever she was doing, he always seemed to intervene into her mind. It was so frustrating! Letting out a snarl, she jumped to her feet, stalking out of the empty room.
The sun was slowly starting to set behind the horizon, the clouds turning different shades of bright colors. Her fellow students and classmates had left to go home, to celebrate a job well done. Unfortunately, the student council had to stay behind, making sure the finishing touches were just right.
The president wandered down the hallway, her eyes closed and her hands behind her back, the lines of irritation fading away. This moment was her favorite; it was so nice and peaceful here without anyone rushing down the hallway, pushing her out of the way. If only it was like this everyday.
A door down the hall a ways slides open, and a red head of hair sticks out and looks both ways. He had abandoned the costume he had donned earlier, and was now wearing the as normal as it can be on him school uniform, "Alright Vice, lets get out of here," he steps out, and swings his bag onto his back. The small fox darts out form between his legs, and squeaks at the President in surprise.
The president almost started freaking out, almost. "What are you doing out so late?" She demanded, sounding weary, "actually, don't answer that. I'd rather not keep you waiting to head home." If she could toss him out a window to try and help him get out of here, she would gladly do so.
He blinks for a moment before giving her a fake wounded look, "Gee, Prez, so hostile. I was just doing some homework, no need to be all... you." he taps the back of the fox with his foot, "Right?"
"I'll try next time to be more like you: idiotic and finding amusement out of something silly," she dryly said, crossing her hands over her chest. "Weird to see a student hang behind so late," she commented, frowning, "especially one who said he was doing homework.
He bends down and picks the fox up, holding it to his chest, "Is that what you think?" he asks, his lips quirking into a thin smile, "would you like to check? To make sure I'm not doing anything delinquent? Your opinion seems of me seems to be 'he's trash' or 'stupid and not worth my time'."
She slowly clapped, sounding more sarcastic with each one. "Congratulations, you read my mind," she said, "for a prize, you get nothing." Though as she spoke, she couldn't help but be at least a little curious. She doubted that he actually did homework, knowing him.
He lets the little fox poke its nose in his pocket, and pull out a small candy. As it begins to gnaw on it with gusto, he shrugs his shoulders, "Wouldn't want a prize from you anyways--might get coal or something."
"Just show me whatever you wanted me to see," she snapped. She then shook her head at the candy he had given the fox, "You're going to kill it, if you keep feeding it junk food."
"I didn't say I was going to show you anything. Just admit your curious," he frowns at her, his eyebrow reaching his hairline as he watches her take the candy, "Its made of dried sour plumb Pres, it won't kill him."
She shifted her weight from foot to foot, before a scowl appeared. "Fine, you got me. I'm curious, you happy now?" She muttered. She then rolled her eyes. "Good, I wouldn't want to have to bury a dead body today; that's for tomorrow."
"I'd say more amused than happy," he reaches into his backpack, rummaging around in its depths. The small fox jumps at her, pawing at her hand that had the candy. "I'd give that back before he bites," the redhead crows, "And here," he flourishes some papers, the messy handwriting barely comprehensible. "Don't be surprised by my super smarts."
She let out a yelp, as the fox leaped at her. Struggling to carry it without dropping it from its squirming, she hesitantly offered it the treat. A hesitant smile appeared, though she forced it away. Sure it was cute, though she was not going to show it in front of this guy. She snatched the pieces of paper from his hand, squinting to decipher what it said.
The fox jumps onto the ground, and as it lands it begins to curl up into a protective ball around the treat. The male stiffs his hands into his pocket and watches her with a tilted eyebrow. The title was 'Human Psyche' with a good number of pages, "My teachers seemed to have managed to translate my stuff; only took them the whole four years I've been here for them to."
She slowly nodded, skimming over the pages. Some words jumped out at her, though it was at complete random times, that she couldn't focus on them; everything else was just a scribbled jumble of words. "I...see," she slowly replied, pretending that she could actually understand what he had written.
"I write upside down and reverse each character," he supplies, holding his hand out for the papers. "Dyslexic and all that." the fox squeaks and jumps up, hiding in the backpack.
"Oh, I er...see," the president said, feeling a twinge of guilt starting to form in her stomach. Wow...what a horrible person she was; she was being cruel to a person with a disability. That crossed the line.
She shrugged, not feeling it in her to be mad at him. "No, just...tired," she finally lied, having paused for a moment, "the conference is tonight, so I've been running around like a mad woman, trying to get everything in order."
