Rukiella shrugs. "Yes and no. My dad's not actually from here. He's in a higher district. It was my mother who was part of Murk. When I got old enough, I returned here and set up shop so Murk had at least one nice place in all this doom and gloom." She said with a faint chuckle. Then she glanced at Akai with a sly smile. "And what about you? You don't seem to be from Murk."

" I escaped from a Witch's Hold in the forest..." Akai says very quietly, looking very scared suddenly,"... So I ran to the first coty I saw."

Rukiella blinked and pulled her aside from the busy streets to walk through an alley; a shortcut obviously. "You escaped a Witch's Hold?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, suspicion written clear across her face. "How did you manage that?"

" I pretended to be dead and covered myself in... Other peoples' blood..." She whispers, suddenly her eyes looking dull with grief and fear, her voice began to break and she whimpers," I... Crawled into a pile of corpses... All the other bodies around me got roasted in the incinerator-" she trails off and chokes off a cry... She was trembling now...

There's only silence before a pale, but surprisingly tone slender arm wraps around Akai, pulling her close and resting Akai's head on her chest as the taller girl embraced her, smoothing her hair gently and slowly stroking it. "Shhhh..... It's over now. You're safe." She whispered softly, looking down at Akai. Oh the shivers that whispering voice induced. And she didn't smell so deeply of smog. In fact, she smelled of lavender mixed with something else that probably came from her club. Maybe some of the alcohol they had to serve. Whatever it was, it was not an unpleasant scent, especially mixed with the lavender

Akai slowly and hesitantly hugs Ruki back, shivering as she buries her face into the girl's shoulder," So-sorry..." She chokes and trembles

Rukiella chuckled, the sound coming deep within her, as Akai could feel pressed against her. "Sorry? Why are you saying sorry? Did you do anything wrong to me yet?" She asked with a slightly sly smile. "Don't sweat it, cutey. Now, do you think you can stand on your own? Because it's not that I mind. In fact, it's quite the opposite..." She said, her voice suddenly getting low and even more sultry as something in her tone shifted, enough to make Akai feel like she was going to melt

She blushes and trembles... But for another reason. She blushes and murmurs," Uh-uhm... I-I'm sorry.,,"

Rukiella gives a low chuckle before shaking her leg and letting to of Akai. "So! You'll be working the 9 pm to 12 pm shift. Be there at 9 o'clock sharp! I don't go easy on late comers, even newbies." She said with a devilish grin. "I'll set Walter, one of my senior waiters, to help you out on your first day. Well get you a uniform too." She said. "When do you think you could start?" Boy, this human sure got down to business!

Akai blinks and nods, her witchy side wanting to just kill this human now but her common sense telling her this human would be useful... Soon, Wall Breaker, soon.

Rukiella's smile curved into a sly one as she leaned down, putting her face an inch from Akai. "I asked 'when could you start,' not 'could you start.'" She pointed out teasingly, raising an eyebrow. "You don't pay attention, do you?"

" Now- today!" Akai sputters and squeaks, rubbing her eyes. She looks up at her with a blush

The older girl smirked. "Good choice. Meet me at the club at 8 pm today, and we'll get started. Until then, cya." She said, patting the girl on the head and effectively pushing the fedora hat down over her eyes with an impish smile before walking off and disappearing in the crowd

Akai pushes the hat up in timeto see Ruki disappear and smiles, hugging her groceries and walking down the street back toward her apartment

Time warp!~

The hours past before it was finally almost eight. The bouncers were outside the club already as a line began to form even then, many Murk residents waiting to get in the dance club. Akai better hurry or she'd be late!

Akai squeezes through the bouncers, smiling innocently at the one from the day before as she rushes inside," Ruki!" She calls the name of the only person she knew

And said person turned from talking to a navy blue haired guy wearing the club uniform. Rukiella was wearing her DJ gear, along with another similar fedora to the one she gave Akai. She smiled as Akai approached. "Hey there, kiddo. This bum here is Walter." She said, pointing to the blue haired boy.

"Hey!" He protested before looking at Akai and grinning. "Yo! I'm gonna be the one helpin' you learn the ropes. First things first, you've gotta get in uniform. I trust you can do that, Ruki?" He asked the girl. Rukiella smiled and winked at him before pulling his hat over his eyes.

"Yes sir, boss man Walter." She said sarcastically before turning and walking off. "C'mon Akai, let's go get you dressed." She called over her shoulder
