As a Wiccan, Maud believed in magic, in all manner of Gods, in witchcraft... She revered the Horned God because he was her patron God... She still revered science and all its wonders yet... One could still believe in magic, right?
Little did this poor Wiccan know she was about to be cursed with one of her Patron's blessings on mortal kind.

Maud had walked to a secluded clearing high in the mountains, she had laid out a scarf with celtic patterns onthe soft grass, putting out three candles as well as a small pendant of a five pointed star.
Her tawny hair was pulled back in ponytail and the loose shirt she wore flapping faintly in the wind. She sat on her knees and began to speak aloud, her head tilted to the sky and palms resting upward:
" Father Patron, Horned God... I know it's been awhile since I last prayed to you, but... I came to offer you my services. I'm not the most fantasticly... Commited. Wiccan... But I want to pay you back, Father... For everything you've done for me..."
She pauses and shakes her head," I've always been horrible at praying... Am I worthy...? If I am... Please show me..."
