Dustin didn't move forward. It was still a tentative time. "You're welcome. Can I get a hug?" He knew it was a risky move, but he opened his arms a bit for her to walk into them. She had two options: Accept it and embrace him, or make a complete 180 and trash him with a spell.

Dustin couldn't help but allow his heart to flutter with happiness. It was strange- a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw hugging. But for some reason, it felt right. Even if he denied it. He hugged her for a few moments longer, bringing her snug to his moderately built chest, before he let her go. He was pretty sure she felt awkward. After all, they were still only strangers.

"I'm sure your," he tried not to allow the anger into his voice, "friend is searching for you. Best be... on your way." He inhaled a deep breath. Why did it hurt so much to send her away? The thought of her going to another man was more or less violently aggravating.

Dustin turned his head a bit to look at the light, his grass gaze narrowing. He hummed, and though he felt a little better by the reassurance, doubt still lingered in his heart. After all, Slytherins weren't the most trustworthy people- on both ends. He headed toward the light, deciding to go and help out his partner. Unless she was getting what she deserved. And then he was perfectly alright with her receiving her punishment. He smirked.

Dustin blinked, his steps growing more urgent. The battle sounded intense, whoever was fighting it. And considering he had only just barely been with Maude, he was pretty sure it was between both of their partners. Getting close to the area, he slowed his steps, a wary posture taking over his frame. He didn't want to step into the battle if it was still going head strong. He crept to the edge of the trees, looking through an opening.

Stannis, Rhia and Maud were standing in a tight circle, maud having raised her wand high into the air as white mist flooded from it, a horde of demenotrs circling anove, trying to break past the guardian animal, a whale, coming from her wand.

Dustin immediately jerked to action, rushing to Maude and casting his own light from across from her. Added power would cause the dementors to officially leave. He knew it would be exhausting to carry it on long enough for all four teenagers to get out of there conscious- or alive.
