"Then stop being such a ninny and hurry up!" she starts running down the long line of mech, the hangar more crowded now that soldiers were coming in for repairs and maintenance. The mech was at the far end, the blue metal standing out among all the blacks and grays, and was blasting opera from its speakers.

He giggles and runs through the crowd, weaving through the crowd and yowling," Relinquisher-!!" He reaches the huge mecha ad begins to scale the large ladder leading up the mech

Loud beeps interrupt the music, and the visor lights up. 'WELLcoME Back'--the robotic voice says. Lucy climbs up to the bridge in front of the Mechs head and picks up her holopad from the cart.

He grins and hugs the mecha's visor," How are you big guy?" He asks softly

[Light]

'BETter' the mech answers, 'no MoRE baAd KnEE'. He beeps again, softer this time.

[CrimsonMoon]

" Yay," he purrs, patting the smooth visor

[Light]

"His next set of parts should be coming in tonight," Lucy turns off the screen, and the mech rings a little happy jingle. "I can start upgrades in the morning."

" i'm gonna stay with him," he grins

[Light]

"Geh," she shakes her head sighing, "You do that--and don't come to me if the soldier bunks are all taken, I'm not sharing," she kneels down and starts to climb back down the ladder.

He smiles an curls up on the mech's shoulder, whispering," Wanna hear some stories?"

[Light]

The mech beeps agreeably, the visors light dimming to a lower level as it waited...

" I used to live in the capital with my mom and dad and little brother, my dad was in the reserves as a commander and so when the war started... He was taken to the front lines almost immediately. I had to get a job a quit school so I could pay for our rent... Then they started to fire bomb everything..." He trails off his gaze becoming glassy

The mech beeps at the small pause, 'BOm-mb?'

" Fire bombs," he nods," They explode and every shrapenel peice sets something on fire... It's horrible," he whispers

[Light]

'faMA-ily?' it questions again, the lights of the hangar starting to go out one by one.

He listens to the heavy thud of the lights turning off," Yeah... My little brother's name was Rook... He was killed in the bombings with my mom," he murmurs

[Light]

'Roo-OOk," the mech repeats, the light from its visor glowing like a heartbeat. 'DE-aA-d?'

" Mhm.. You know what that means don't you?" He asks softly

'Y-u-Es,' the robot answers, the familiar beeping following. 'No Lon-n-ger a-lie-ve'
