The man slowed down out of calm but the calamity awaited, the wolves weren't wolves at all, they were bloodhounds tracking them for the knights behind them.

Peter grit his teeth. "We must keep moving. We can't let them catch up to us until we're across the border. But should something happen and I die... get these two to the border and leave them there. The king cannot hurt them there."

the man frowned and shook his head,"I'm sorry sir but I do not believe that girl would be happy without you, I'm afraid I must ask you to keep yourself alive.

Peter shrugged. "I will try. But she must live without me if I die. And you must promise to get them to the border, no matter the cost."

He sighed and nodded but the carriage was pulled back and the horses spooked he yelled and gazed back at the troop of about ten soldiers.

Peter growled and urged him to go faster. "We're close to the border."

He whipped the horses, trying his best and only barely making it.

Peter was extremely tense. "Come on. We can make it...."

He finally made it through and slowed down, the knights stopping at the gates.

Peter sighed in relief but stopped the driver. "Hold on a second." He hopped off the carriage and walked over to the border, looking to see if Carlyle was there.

Carlyle was, he glared at Peter, his horse impatient for the run.

Peter gazed at him sadly. "Carlyle... I'm sorry."

He frowned,"traitor" he growled in return.

Peter winced. "It had to be this way. I can't follow your king anymore."

He frowned and turned, ordering the others to do the same, the dogs following the horses obediently.

Peter frowned sadly. "Carlyle..." he whispered.

He hopped off of his carriage and opened the booth, helping the scrambled two out. She gazed up at Peter sadly,"Peter,"whats wrong?
