He looked up at her with a pout and mumbled, flopping on the bed, his head sinking into a pillow slowly. "I'm sleepy."

"Then you can just fall asleep while we watch the movie," Nikita smiled, brushing his hair back.

[∂яινє му ωσℓƒ ωιℓ∂ ♥]

"Hmm..." He sighed in acknowledgement, eyes already drifting closed and body relaxing into the mattress. Before long, he was passed out, expression peaceful.

Nikita kissed the top of his head and pulled the covers up over the boy.

Eyes snapping open, pupils quickly adjusting from their blown position, the dark haired teen exhaled heavily, body still quivering from the dream he had. He couldn't remember what it was, or even what it could have been to make him react the way he was, but either way it wouldn't help him to calm down. Sitting up, he ran a hand through his hair and looked over at the window. There was soft blue light coming through the curtains. Dawn.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," Alexsander popped his head into the bedroom. He was dressed in exercise shorts and a tank top. His light brown hair was pulled back, little tendrils escaping around his face.

He looked over to the space beside himself and ran a hand over his face. "Where's Niki?" He murmured, voice softly hoarse from sleep.

"Shower," Alex chirped, "She likes taking a shower as soon as she wakes up."

[∂яινє му ωσℓƒ ωιℓ∂ ♥]

Nikolas stared at the other Shadowhunter for a few minutes before his eyes drifted shut and he slumped against the mattress, having fallen asleep. It appeared he wasn't an early riser like his nightmare had others believing.

He chuckled and walked over, pulling the covers up around Nikolas so he was tucked in tight.

Cooing, he snuggled into the familiar comforting touch, falling a little deeper into unconsciousness. His breathing slowed, as did his heart rate, until it appeared to stop all together. But he wasn't suffocating; no, he was hibernating. Apparently their 'staying up late' plan had backfired, and he was suffering the consequences of exhaustion.

"Silly kid. Still thinks he's invincible." Alexander murmured from the doorway, a small smile on his lips though his eyes were troubled.

Alex glanced up and smiled at him, "Yeah, but we're all here to make sure he is safe and sound."

"...He concerns me." He admitted quietly, grinding his jaw. "We're here to protect him now, but what if there comes a day when we aren't anymore? Then what? How's he going to protect himself?"

Alex frowned and looked back down at Nikolas, all snuggled up, "He's a Shafowhunter, Alexander. I think he's stronger than he appears."

"He doesn't have any training. He never wanted to learn. How can he possibly take care of himself?" He flexed his arms and watched his little brother with narrowed eyes. "I try to take care of him and he just shrugs it off. I know it's because he wants his independence, but he's just not ready for it."

"We'll work with him," Alexsander soothed, nibbling on his bottom lip, "Me, you, Nikita. We'll all make sure he eventually learns how to protect himself."

[∂яινє му ωσℓƒ ωιℓ∂ ♥]

He gave a noncommital grunt, watching the sleeping boy for another few seconds before turning on his heel and exiting the bedroom to leave his sibling in blissful unawareness. "We better start soon then. I don't know how much more I can take."

Alexsander rolled his eyes and trotted after him, "Wait up! We'll start as soon as you want, okay?" He bumped hips with his parabatai, "I promise."

"How soon?" He shot him a look. "If we wait any longer, something could happen. And then where will we be?" His serious expression didn't last long, though, with a heaving sigh a small smile turned up the corners of his lips and he bumped his hip back against his parabatai's. "Honestly, sometimes you're just too much, you know that?" He elbowed him lightly in the ribs.

Alex grunted and grabbed Alexander's neck in a chokehold, "Me?~ Never!"
