Valerie gave him a funny look, "And suddenly you're not human?"

Valerie cocked an eyebrow at him. "I can't wait to hear this."

Aron met her eyes and suddenly his morphed, obviously not human anymore. Wolf's eyes. He pulled back his lips, revealing sharp canines. His face quickly returned to normal, and he shrugged. "See? Not human."

Valerie swallowed loudly, "cool so well then nobody's human here. Right."

Aron cocked his head. "You didn't think it was odd when I didn't freak out, learning that you could change into a dog?"

"I mean, I thought it was weird too but I guess I mostly just though that you were well adjusted...." Valerie's words died out when she realized how silly that sounded.

Aron snorted. "Well-adjusted? Me?"

Valerie threw he hands up as she sat down. "I don't know. That was a lame word."

Aron shook his head. "Mortals freak out when they find out about us. That's why we don't tell them." He remained standing, his arms crossed over his chest. "Still, theoretically I should hate you. You being a Lucidus and all."

Valerie looked at him hopefully. "The key word being theoretically right?"

"If I hated you, I would have kicked you out or killed you by now," he said with a wry smile. "I'm not the scheming or passive aggressive type."

"Gods I'd hope not, I'd be in serious trouble by now."

Aron's smile spread into a grin. "I guess it's just a good thing I like you, then."

Valerie grinned. "It is a good thing." Suddenly blushing, she looked down at her knees.

Aron fell silent for a few seconds, just looking at her. Then he said, "Do you want to come somewhere with me?"

Valerie had half a mind to make a sarcastic remark about him taking her to his bed again but she decided against it. "Sure." She said, scooting to the edge of the couch.
