The three didnt bother with the line instead they went to the kings tent then left for the enemy city, grabbing three gigantic black horses which had been set aside by one of the slaves. They hopped on and rode away from the camp towards the city in the morning fog
Livi blinked in confusion. He didn't need armor. They weren't going into battle. Right? Anyway, he had his necklace. The one his mother gave him. It would protect him whether he had armor or not.
His lips parted as if to protest before he closed his mouth and turned, walking into the quarters that he had slept in the night before. He looked at the armor and made a face. It was so unattractive. He fingered his necklace, the gem seeming to glow around his throat. He'd be fine. It was enchanted and he could use it to his will. He was alright. He didn't need any physical armor. He had all the protection he needed from this little gem.
He reached down to touch it and his amulet sent an electric spark through it, electrocuting him for a few seconds and he winced. Yeah, it definitely wasn't going to work. He walked back out and looked around. Maybe he should just hide from the king until he couldn't see him, and then he could follow.
The slave slunk along the shadows before hiding behind a pillar, seeming to sink into the concrete. He couldn't be seen. He needed the king to leave before he left behind him.
He looked around before racing off into the trees. Every few trees he would pass he'd disappear through the gap -- like, literally vanish into thin air -- before he would appear in the next large gap. It was a mechanism he used. He leaped into one of the trees and up the branches, leaping through the rest of the tree tops before he stopped near Joseph's camp, eyes narrowed as he lay concealed in the leaves.
