"I wonder how good of pets they'd make," he mused.

"Yeah i wonder" he added.

"Wanna ask the store clerk?" He hummed.

"Yeah lets~" he said tugging on Maxxies arm.

He approached the counter and smiled, "Excuse me?"

The lady turned around and smiled "hello, what can i help you with?"

"Hi, we were just wondering how good of pets those, um, squirrels are," he smiled.

The woman smiled and chuckled "squirrels are great pets, in fact the store raised one just to show people they can be domesticated" she said pointing to a little cat house that a full grown squirrel sat in, eating little nuts and nuzzling against a guests hand.

"Really?" He asked, "That's surprising."

"Surprised me at first as well" she chuckled

"Are they popular?"

"Very" she said

Gon slipped away from his side to look at the Squirrel, touching its head it dropped the nut and scurried up his arm, rubbing against his cheek and making him giggle.

He chuckled, "I can see why."

The girl continued to smile "looks like your friend is good with animals" she said ignoring the fact they were probably dating.

Gon smiled brightly and pet the soft creature.

"He loves animals," Maxxie watched him fondly, his smile gentle.

"Does he have any?" She asked.

He shook his head, "He doesn't have the time.."

"Oh thats sad" she said.

Gon pet and cuddled the squirrel.

Maxxie sighed, "I want to get him one.." He said quietly.
