Olin heard the horse and turned, his eyes widening, "Indigo!" He shouted, starting toward her and the rearing animal.

In an instant, she sunk the knife into the horse's chest, she beast crashing down again with a squeal of rage

Olin grabbed her by the waist and pulled her out of the way of the falling horse. He'd seen many men he crushed by horses as easily as if they were flies.
