She was unknown in the school only by the headmaster and her 'mother'. It wasnt that she was new to the campus but new to the school life, today she would transfer, transfer from living at home and doing nothing into a school for her own kind. Her life up to now had been...ok...but now, everything for her would change. She had a knack for either making everyone laugh, or pissing them the he*l off. She loved to see people smile and laugh and have a good time but when it came down to serious talks, she was the best. As she strode up to the double doors of the school she looked around, classes had already started for the day so just her luck right, sleeping in on her first day. She had long pink-red hair which travled down to her waist, while her eyes were an extravagant red with no pupils. She wore a black hoodie with a white v-neck and jeans, all topped with combat boots. She felt her hair toss in the wind and as she neared the door she fixated her black bag on her shoulder that held her books. She stopped in front of the doors pausing for a few seconds before pushing them open and feeling a draft sweep her hood off. She quickly pulled it back on and glided down the hall, she was in her human form so it wasnt as graceful as it would be if she was in her other but that didnt really matter to her. She stopped in front of a locker and looked around, seeing only the empty halls she sighed and opened the locker with the combination on the little sheet of paper she held.

Once she had put her books for her last periods in her locker she walked to her classroom and paused before walking in, she immediately noticed the boys staring at her, practically drooling over her. "Miss?" She said quietly, making the teacher turn her head, the teacher had cat ears and when it heard her they perked "you must be the transfer?" She said not making eye contact with the girl. She nodded "yes miss i am" she said, her sweet melodious voice carrying through the class "my name is Shiko" she said. "Thats nice, take your seat" she said pointing to a seat in the back. A couple of the boys protested to the normally sweet teachers cold behavior towards the beautiful girl but she sat and did nothing but pull out her notebook and a pencil.

He sat in his desk, leaning his chair against the wall, his legs propped up on the surface, his arms wrapped lazily behind his head, stretching his jaws out in a lazy yawn. He was in his human form, because if he'd change, his form would probably fill up the whole classroom. The teacher spoke lazily, repeating things that he already knew. His long, black hair fell over his ebony eyes and he flicked his wrist slightly, and the pencil shuddered slightly before lifting up and copying down whatever the teacher was yapping about.

And then, a girl walked in. He felt the new physical form enter the school, but he didn't realize it, no she, would be in his class room. He sat up slightly, not enough to show interest but enough to be able to see the girl. He almost laughed. She surely must be some kind of fey, maybe or an angel. Her beauty was beyond compare, though it brought no thudding of his heart. Not much did these days.

She moved off toward the back, where his little group of admirers were sitting. He chuckled softly before the bell rang. He stood up, tucking the papers into his bag then sauntering off, winking slightly and flirtatiously toward the new girl.

She didnt seem to notice and if she did she didnt care, she put her things in her pack she stood but was pushed back down by one of his 'admirers'. She looked up at the girl, surprised, blinking her pupiless eyes she raised a eyebrow "is there something you need?" She asked sitting calmly in her seat. "Dont think you can walk in and steal our guy" she huffed then turned and walked away. Shiko was even more confused now but shrugged and stood, walking off, it seemed as if a path began to be mowed as she walked through the halls. She didnt care about all the guys who stared at her but just kept walking, she had a class to get to.

She entered the next classroom, thinking /only two more classes till break" then walked up to the teacher, all her classes were AP though she was already taught all of it. She greeted him, never receiving eye contact and then took a seat towards the middle of the classroom and set her bag down, the year was about half way through so she sat unknowing whos chair it was she sat in.

He stalked into the class, and let out a heavy sigh when he saw her. Again. Jeez, it was like she was following him. His gigglers giggled behind him, and immediately tried to sit near him, wanting his intention desperately. He sat behind the new girl, and smirking slightly, leaned forward and picked up a lock of her hair, wrapping it around his finger.

"Need a pencil, love?" He had a slight Australian accent, enough to make his voice lace. He held out a normal pencil, except for the fact it was emitting red fumes.

"No its alright i have my own" she said showing him the regular mechanical pencil without turning around. She set it down on her deask then turned around to see him, she smiled warmly and blinked, avoiding looking him directly in the eyes she said "so whats your name?" She asked her sweet, quiet voice only had a slight tinge of Romanian that you couldnt hear from far off.

He smirked slightly, and handed another girl the pencil, who shrieked happily and showed all her friends proudly. "Drake, you Princess?" He tugged on her hair playfully, wanting to get a rise out of her, this new girl. He wanted her to hate him, so it would make it even more delicious for her to fall in love with him, only to snap her heart into millions of pieces, leaving her desperate and sad.

Oh yes, new girls were always fun.

"Shiko" she said with a smile, guys were glaring at him with jealousy in their eyes. She looked to the windows and squinted her pupilless eyes. "You might want to duck in five seconds" she said after looking at him again "he doesnt look like a great shooter" she said pointing to the window, across from the building they were on, there was a small black speck on the roof, that speck, was an assassin. She sighed and stood then walked away from him and looked to the teacher before reaching and pulling the fire alarm, the sound of the alarm drowning out the sound of a window getting shattered and a bullet lodging in the seat next to hers, it would have nave been a direct hit to her head.

He didn't move, he didn't even flinch as the bullet lodged into the seat. He stared at it briefly before standing up, seeing his chance. He shoved by the screaming fangirls and wrapped his arm around the girls waist. "Let me take you on a tour of the academy. I'll protect you love?" Without listening to what she said, he led her out of the classroom, pressing her gently against his side.

She tugged away from him, /this guys isnt trustworthy/ she thought. She wanted to get her bag, she needed her bag "let go i need my bag" she grunted trying to get away from him.

Drake smiled down at her before flicking her wrist. The bag flew out of the classroom and he caught it in her other hand. "No more excuses." He slid the bag softly onto her shoulder, skimming her bare skin lightly with his fingers before moving on.

She kept her gaze averted from his eyes and looked around /his is having too much fun toying with me/ she thought, annoyed. As the fire alarm came to a stop the classes went on and she realized exactly what they had done, ditched.

He tightened her arm lightly around her waist, in an almost flirtatious way, as if they knew each other for a long time. "I'll show you the best areas to study-" He almost snorted slightly at that, "The best places to eat, and the best place for well. Not that matters." He decided to let her see a more caring side, and as soon as they were out of site of the building, he pulled his arm away slightly, but still prepared to grab her if she ran off. He didn't want this lovely day to be ruined by her running.

She didnt run, she stayed by his side, only moving a couple inches away so she wasnt in his personal space, she didnt care much for what he was going to show her. After all she knew this campus inside and out by heart but the fact he seemed to care in a very odd way intrigued her, so she stayed

"This is the, um, field I guess." He shrugged and gestured impatiently at the flower field. He took her to his favorite spot, a large lake with a dock and several willow trees littered across the hills. He pushed through the willow leaves, showing two large beach chairs. He flopped down on one, tucking his arms in a lazy position under his arms, yawning slightly.

"Oh don't worry, you only had one class after that one, so it doesn't matter."

She sat down, she had always loved this lake, she would come swimming in the summer. "So.." She said pulling her hood off and putting her arms on the rests, debating wether or not she wanted to swim right now.

"So?" He asked, his eyes closed but his face turned slightly toward her.

"So why did you bring me out here?" She asked keepting her eyes from meeting his, like shed done to everyone today

[ladyiris]

"Cause your new." He said, as if that was obvious, sitting up slightly on his elbows, his back propped up against the seat chair, blinking black eyes at him.

"Its not like ive never been here before" she mumbled almost inaudibly, casting her gaze to her hands

"New to school." He corrected, tilting his head slightly with a brief laugh. "Wanna go swimming? Or wading?" He rolled off the seat, stretching slightly.
