"Precisely," Saerin said. Oh, yes, he liked this Ellen. Nicolette was intriguing, but her... he could have some fun with her.

Ellen smiled and took a sip of her glass of orange juice, "If you're ever curious, just come to me. I have ways of finding things out."

"Really?" Saerin said. Then he smiled and shook his head. "Of course. Why does that not really surprise me?"

"Well, you don't honestly think that Miss Nicolette uses me just for cleaning the house, do you?" Ellen chuckled quietly.

"I suppose not," Saerin said. "She seems the kind of woman who would utilize multiple skills."

"My Mistress is a smart woman," Ellen nodded, glancing at the clock, "She should be requesting her breakfast soon."

"Do you know what she has planned for me?" Saerin asked, suddenly curious. He didn't mind surprises, but he didn't particularly like them either.

"Oh no, she wouldn't tell me about that," Ellen shook her head, "It's none of my concern, sorry."

Saerin shrugged. "Very well. I guess I'll find out."

Another worker came up and whispered to Ellen, glancing at Saerin quickly.

She chuckled, "Well, you get to find out. She wants you to bring her breakfast." Ellen picked up the ornate tray and handed it to Saerin.

Saerin smiled broadly and took the tray. "Where am I to take this? Bedroom? Dining hall?"

"Bedroom," She grinned, "She only eats in her bedroom unless she has company."

"I see," Saerin said. "And where is her bedroom located again?"

Ellen laughed and gestured for him to follow, "Oh, don't worry. I'll show you just this once."

Saerin gave a crooked smile and walked after her, tray of food in his hands.

Ellen chuckled and trotted up the stairs in the main hall, "She might be a little cranky this early in the morning."

"I think I can handle it," Saerin said. He'd faced far worse, and he didn't really mind being yelled at for some odd reason.

Ellen smiled to herself and turned away from him as they neared her door, "Okay, as long as you're ready for that."

Saerin held the tray in one hand on knocked on his lady's door. "It's Saerin with your breakfast, mistress," he called.

There was a husky, feminine grumble before Nicolette answered, "Come in."
