"Steal something," she echoes nervously leaning to one side, "Sounds fun."

" You need to steal a staff, you'll know when you see it."

"and this staff," a feeling sinks into her stomach, "Nevermind." She quickly turns away.

" Ask," e orders her

[Light]

She gives him a reproachful look--she was used to being ordered around, but that didn't mean she liked it. She plops back down on the ground sitting on her knees. "It's magical right? Or a big hunk of knotted wood?"

" You'll lnow when you see it because it gves ofd ligjt as well as float about a food off the ground

[Light]

"Ah, so." She nods her head and finishes tightening the boots, "Shouldn't be too hard to find then." She stands up and quickly steps away from the pile of gold and bones. Part of her seemed indecisive, but that was a very tiny margin.

" Basically, yes," The dragon smirks and reaches out, restig his hand on her head," Tere is a cave to the far south, filled with treasure but protected by a flightless serpent... If you go, you have to be careful,"

[Light]

The soft cow lick of her bangs flattens under his hand and she wriggles her nose and huffs. First her father, then her commander and now a dragon. She wasnt that small, so why do they all freaking pat her head. "What do I do if the serpent attacks? Defend or uh... Kill it?"

" Kill it... If you can," He answers cooly," But the staff is the most important thing

[Light]

She shoots him an annoyed glare and reluctantly takes up the sword, "I'll be back,"

" And take this... Open it when you get to the southern most part of the valley," He hands her a tiny box that seems to twitch

[Light]

She takes it from his hand and looks over it, "?" She nods her head, "Okay,"

He smiles and chuckles," Good girl, He stands, towering over her and kisses her forehead

[Light]

"I'm not 'girl'," she protests while backing up. She spins on the metal edge of her heel and heads towards the mouth of the cave, "I have a name!"

" Than whats your name?" He calls, settling back onto the pile of treasure

[Light]

"Saerah!" Is her echoing reply, the gold glow of her hair disappearing to the human eye as she enters the swamp.

The dragon watches her scent fade from the air before smirking and chuckling

[Light]

Saerah, not having a problem in the armor and running through the murky mess, clutches the box firmly in one hand while her sword jangled on her hip. Just yesterday she had woken up and done training with her grandpa. Then she was told to jump in a lake and retrieve a sword. After that she was pointed to a swamp and told to kill a dragon. It felt exciting, riveting, to do something abnormal in her life for once.
