Gazelle jogs to keep up with it, "Coming, coming~!"

Erin watches her and chuckles

Protegere continues down the street, the robot she left behind slowly falling to pieces as if it had been held together with tape. she reaches under sleeve dropping small knives and handguns on the concrete as she walks and runs out of weaponry when she reaches the capital building. She brazenly looks at the building with a hand on her hip; she wanted to put the final nail in ruining her pride and get this over with.

The hound had lead her straight into the capital building where Erin was Waiting, he opens his arms o the little girl," C'mon!"

Gazelle's eyes light up and she runs up to him hugging him. "You're okay!"

He chuckles and hugs her tightly," Lets go meet Ud's then, hm?"

"Okay," she readily agrees hugging his neck, "Is Ud's nice?"

" Yep," he chirps, carrying her into the elevator.

" Gah!! Wait!!" Caoi suddenly stumbles in and huffs," ugh..."

Udolf sat in his office, writing ou something

Cloud zips into the elevator repeatedly smashing the close door button, "Ya ain't gonna fit Lumi!" she yells down the hall. The giant wails in anguish and stops running towards them, "you're all so MEAN to me!"

Gazelle hugs him tighter, her eyes widened slightly in alarm. "who are they?"

His office doors open, and a few agents push an annoyed Protegere in, "/I know where you work/" she hisses to them angrily. She shakes the handcuffs at them and resists the urge to flip them off.

Caoi crouches in front of the little girl," Y name's Caoi, This is Cloud... And that thing out there was lumeh!"

"Who you met," Erin adds gently

Coenwulf stood next to Udolf's desk," Woah, woah! Why is she hancuffed?"

Udolf stands and walks around the desk

"I'm Gazelle!" The little girl chirps in reply. She smiles a bit, "I remember. I think I hit him in the nose after I woke up."

"So that's why it looked funny," Cloud muses grinning.

Protegere looks at Coenwulf for a moment, about to say some smart-a** answer. She decides to just huff and looks at Udolf, trying to be 'nice' like she was told to be. "My name's Protgere Leo, former leader of the Lions." she supplies.

Udolf approaches her, waving the agents away," I know exactly who you are," he says in a slow even voice..."

"I know you do," she twists her hands in the bonds and looks over her shoulder as the agents leave... "and i'm here... to tell you something." her face contorts for a moment before calming. Her neck straightens and she looks back at him, expecting to be hit and yelled at before she got the words out--it's what she would have done.

Udolf stops in front of her, and stares at her coldly," Yes..."

"I don't regret waging war on the UC... But I do regret involving innocent people..." Her shoulders straighten reflexively, and her hands start shaking. "I know I should have come to you and not... Commit acts of terrorism... Which... Hurt... And killed a lot of people. I will... Start paying you back by saying that I'm... I'm... Very, truly, deeply, sorry. I'm ashamed that it took my daughter running away for me to do this..."

Udolf frowns deeply,"....But before i even think of forgiving, i want to ask you a question... a very important question.." he leans close to her as the elevator door opens," I want to ask you, hw you would feel if you arrived just in time to see yoour daughter tell you she was sorry that she couldnt stay awake any more... and watch her die just as you were hlding her in your arms. tell me how you would feel... what would you do?" His voice had grown low and deadly yet full of grief..

Her breathing stops and her eyes widen. That struck a nerve with her. That made her knees buckle and her eyes begin to water, "I would die. I wouldn't be able to live any longer. Not if she disappeared. Not if I never got to see her grow up." She covers her eyes with her joined hands.

Gazelle peeks out of the elevator, her eyebrows tilting downwards in confusion.

" Thats EXACTLY how i felt when Snow died," He hisses softly," I wass so CLOSE-" he holds his index finger and thumb less then a centimeter apart,"- to ripping Eli, and you, and your goddamn bugs to molecular pieces. But you know why I didn't? go on. ask."

Caoi pauses before stepping out. Erin frowns and gently covers Gazelle's ears

Cloud kneels down and gently covers her eyes. These were the things that made children grow up too quick. Gazelle didn't need to see this--she'd already seen her mother on her knees crying.
