"I know that you're not going to let us get any sleep for a while," Ciel walked around the nursery, bouncing her and talking quietly, "But that's okay, cause you need us. I'll be grumpy, but I'll survive."

The baby, unable to respond closed its eyes peacefully.

He hummed, hoping the movement would put Cece back to sleep.

She stayed in a light floating state where if she was set down she would whine softly.

He took a seat in the rocking chair, kissing Cece's head as they moved back and forth soothingly. At least this way, he didn't have to stand.

She stayed in that state for a very long time until she soiled her diaper and started crying.

He sighed and stood up, "That didn't last long," he chuckled, carrying her to the changing table.

She cried unhappily.

He changed her swiftly, making sure to powder her little bottom before putting a clean diaper on her.

Once she was cleaned she quieted down again.

Ciel picked her back up, "There we go, much better," he threw the dirty diaper away.

Cece finally fell asleep after almost an hour.

Ciel sighed in relief when she did. Very carefully, he placed her back in the bassinet, hoping she'd stay asleep until her next feeding.

The child was peaceful, and happy in her sleeping state.

He made his way back to bed and crawled in next to Charlotte.

Charlotte curled up next to him, still asleep.

He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her snugly.

She slept in his arms until almost three hours later the monitor began beeping and charlotte groaned,"my turn" she mumbled as she sleepily rubbed her eyes and got up from the bed.

Ciel rolled over, grumbling slightly.
