He gave an understanding smile. "So staying in one place isn't too great either, huh?"

Annika shook her head. "No, but my family is here. I have nowhere else to go."

"Well maybe you will one day." He smiled encouragingly.

She nodded. Stopping at a rose bush, she removed her arm from his and smelled a delicate flower and smiled. "They are superb this time of year."

"Agreed." He grinned as he watched her smell the beautiful flower. He really looked at her for the first time. She had beautiful black hair pulled up, with odd yet pretty violet eyes. She really was a gorgeous girl, but she always had a melancholy look on her face. He would love to see her give him a real smile.

Just as he thought that, the girl smiled and turned to look at him. "Breathtaking rose," she commented.

"I agree." He smiled at her, he enjoyed seeing the smile on her face.

Just as she was feeling like opening up to the boy, she realized that that was what had gotten her hurt in the first place. "I-I really must be going now... Latin lessons, you know. It was wonderful, Sebastian," she whispered, trotting off to go back inside.

"Maybe I'll see you around?" He asked as she trotted back inside. It was so sudden, her leaving. He knew she didn't really have latin lessons, that much was obvious, but she obviously didn't want to be here.

Annika didn't reply as she rushed up to her room, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't bear to lose another friend and therefore couldn't have any other friends.

A sad look came over Sebastian's face. He wasn't sure what he had done wrong. He gave a sigh and without any planning began tending to the roses Annika had been admiring only a moment before.

Annika sat down on the very edge of her bed, burying her face in her hands. "Why did you have to leave me, Jonathan?" she cried.

Sebastian began humming a very melancholy song.

[what is up with the eggshells on the bottom of each post? I've noticed they change like everyday and my curiosity has overwhelmed me XD]

Two days later, Sebastian had just finished tending to the gardens and was heading inside to find some more chores to do when he ran into Annika.
"Good morning!" He greeted her brightly with that large large enthusiastic grin of his.

Annika had been reading and then looked up at him. "Hello, Sebastian," she said. "How are you?"

"I am well. And you?" He asked brightly.

She nodded. "I am alright," she said, putting the small book in her satchel that she always carried with her. "What are you up to?"

"I actually just finished tending to the garden." He grinned, remembering their stroll through just the other day.
