As soon as she stepped into the class, a bell echoed the hall. "Shit. " she muttered under her breath. Adara kept her eyes in the ground , not wanting to see the teacher yell at her and Ealia.

It was the last block of the day: Bending Techniques. Adara propelled her body to the right as a searing hot fireball sped past her. With the built up momentum, she somersaulted to prevent herself from smacking into the ground. She jumped up from the ground the moment her feet touched the soft dirt. Her body was in its defensive stance as she looked around for her opponent. She squinted against the midday sun trying to make out any sort of figure. All was quiet. Frowned, she slowly turned her body in a semi-circle. A black shadow blurred to move behind her.
She ducked just in time as a fireball soared over her head, scorching the trunk of the tree directly in front of her. She wiped off the layer of sweat forming on her forehead. She could feel the individual beads of sweat on the back of her hand. She concentrated and imagined the tiny drops moving together to the palm of her hand to form into one, creating a medium sized ball. She felt the immense heat of another ball of fire coming towards her. She turned my body with speed and threw the ball of perspiration from my hand to the flying fire.
At immediate contact with each other, a violent hiss sounded and boasts of steam aroused. Both elements ferociously sizzled away into the air leaving a hot but humid atmosphere around the vast forest.
The steam cleared away, revealing Adara's opponent standing at least 15 feet in front of her. One of his dark eyebrows arched up in mockery, pink lips were shaped into a dangerous smirk, and eyes stared directly into her own. His eyes were painted a striking golden that faded into a bronze. The golden brown orbs were breathtakingly beautiful, but at the same time held a form of ferocity and anger. They seemed to be able to look into her, unraveling all her secrets hidden in the depths of her mind and soul. His smirk deepened as an eerie black flame surrounded his feet. He held out his left hand, a bright orange glint floated a few inches above his palm.
Instantly seeing the flame, she turned to the small creek running through the forest a few feet away from her. She held out her arms and focused the energy around her to pull at the water. Reacting almost instantly, a stream of water flowed to her spread out hands and snaked up her arms.
She looked to her opponent again to see his eyes still glued to her. He tossed the small flame from hand to hand. With each pass, it seemed to grow in size and intensity. Adara saw the core of the flame move itself, shaping itself into something. She vaguely saw something like the hilt of a sword.
Adara felt eyes on her, no doubt the whole class is watching in amusement.
Jake watched, shaking out of anticipation, he was wishing so badly to rip the guys head off, but he had to stay back until he was going overboard or didnt listen to the teacher or if she even got a single cut. He was one of the only ones besides one of his siblings who could bend all four elements, and jake was in no position to let her get hurt.

The handle that Adara saw suddenly became strongly visible and more defined. His fingers wrapped around it, groping it tightly. A glowing red-orange liquid poured out of one side of the fiery hilt. The moment the liquid touched the grass it scorched the individual blades burning it away in a matter of seconds. Strangely, the liquid didn't spread like a puddle, it kept getting longer thinning into line, moving like a snake across the grass. The molten kept oozing out of the hilt until finally it stopped. She saw the entire thing harden into a darker orange color with bits of yellow shining through the cracking surface. Then it suddenly dawned on her, the hilt wasn't part of a sword, but a whip. Adara instantly paled at the revelation. He swung the whip slowly from side to side making her bounce from foot to foot in dreaded anticipation of what he would do next. He cracked it up in the air above his head. The black flames lurking around his feet jumped up and covered the fire made weapon. The orange glowed through the darkness, showing off the long shape of the whip. In the midst of all this, his eyes never once left hers. He took an intimidating step forward. Adara wanted to move away from him, but thanks to her stubbornness, she kept her ground determined to not to show him any type of fear. She heard another crack and acted on pure instinct. She waved her hands in front of her, creating a wall of water in between them. Through the hazed liquid, Adara saw the spiked tip of the whip strike the water. The area that was hit fiercely bubbled and created wisps of steam. When the whip hit the water, she felt a slight pain etch all over her body. It was as if the water was a part of her, an extension of her body.
The crack of the whip came down on the water again, creating the same type of reaction but slightly bigger. Adara's hands shook slightly making the water subtly ripple. The whip continued to snap against the water over and over again. With each lash of the whip, her hold on the water became weaker as he crept closer.
He suddenly slipped out from the crowd of the students, he stepped in front of the whip and moved a single hand bending two in one, trapping him in a cocoon of rock and then the water behind her suddenly came up at the same time and a huge cloud of smoke as he burnt the fire whip and then air blew away the fog the teacher yelling at him suddenly.

"You ruined a perfect performance! What the hell, Jake?" A strong, audible voice boomed. Adara looked at him, she didn't know which one he was, but she was disappointed that she didn't get to beat Adrian. Adara knew she wasn't the best water bender, but she also knew she was meant for something more than healing people, not that it wasn't a honor to have the ability to save peoples lives, she just loved fighting. Her eyes found the instructor looking at them with a scrutinizing gaze. He walked over to Aiden and patted him on his shoulders. "That was a very entertaining match to watch. Though, you have many to improve on, Aiden, you act before you think. Try to form a strategy," he didn't bother turning to Adara, "but, your involved in the match with that offense was fantastic!"
Aiden smirked, "Thanks, dad."
Adara growled, of f**king course. She turned away from them, looking at the various faces faced towards them. They all looked at them amazed, well mostly looked at him.
The instructor turned away from his son and faced the class, "Now, for round two. Everyone pick an opponent that can bend the same element."
The instructor walked away, Aiden looked at Adara with a amused face, "This time, amateur, try to pick someone more on your level."
He growled and made two quick movements, sending a quick pointy spinning drill of fire water and earth towards him. , his eyes igniting into an angry fiery red instead of there beautiful pretty blue.

Adrenaline filled Aiden, like it came at him in slow motion, fire burst from under his feet and blasted him up like a rocket over the lighting streak of fire and earth. He backflipped in midair, the fire from under his feet in circled him, and when he kicked his legs out the fire shot out toward Jake with furry. Aiden landed on the ground gracefully.
Air spun around him, deflecting every fire attack used against him as the spinning drill chased him up and down, the elements breaking whatever it hit.
