Otha blinked, letting go of his brother's throat as he stepped back and watched the creatures descend on the camp, "What the hell?"

Efrain narrowed his eyes and pulled his brother behind the Hades cabin, "This must have to do with the gods."

A pack of the creatures let out another bloodcurdling screech and descended toward the twins.

Efrain grinned, a glint in his multicolored eyes as he grabbed his cross necklace, pulling it free from the chain. It elongated into a blade, sharp and black.

Claws outstretched, acidic blood destroying any plant life it touched, the flying creatures split off into three separate directions, screaming before lunging toward the two boys on all sides.

Efrain shoved Otha down out of the way, and slammed the sword through one of the hideous creatures, severing it in half.

There was only a minimal scream before the body fell to the ground and erupted in a puff of ash and cinders.

The other creatures screeched and attacked from both sides.

Otha leaped up with a silver dagger and took on one of the monsters. Efrain smirked and met the other head on.

The creatures screeched and the one facing Otha lashed out with bloodied, sharp claws. The other snapped its jaws at Efrain's throat.

The black blade came up to protect his throat, Efrain thrusting it toward the creature's open mouth.

Otha jumped back, his back pressing up against his twin's. His blade wasn't quite as effective as Efrain's blade.

The blade caused the creature's head to slice in half and it screeched before exploding in sulfuric dust.

The creature screeched in Otha's face, snapping its jaws at his chin.

"Idiot," Efrain snarled and thrusted his blade over Otha's shoulder, sinking it into the creature's open mouth. The metal just barely grazed Otha's ear and he scowled, "Watch it!"

The creature screamed and gargled black acidic liquid before it popped into a cloud of ash, though the acid landed upon the boy's shirts and boots.

Otha yelped and ripped off his shirt, tossing it aside and rubbing his chest. Luckily the acid hadn't burned into his skin. His boots were a little tougher, but he removed them just in case.

Efrain sneered, "You're useless."

There was a giggle from Olympus as the boy, laying on his stomach while looking down, swayed his legs back and forth in the air. This was just too much fun.

Otha shoved him away, "I had it under control."

Efrain smiled, "Right, you almost had your face ripped off."

"That would have been much better." He hummed, tilting his head to the side while watching the boys.

"But I'm fine, see?" He spread his arms out, his pale skin pretty much untouched.

Efrain rolled his eyes, "Not for long."

There was a snort and a line of fire danced toward them.

Otha's eyes widened and he shoved his twin away, the fire creating a line between them.

The boy hummed, the whip retreating and snaking around his torso like an affectionate tongue.
