Jason chuckled, his shoulders shaking. "I don't want to force myself on you," he finally said, calming down, a frown appearing, "I've messed up by coming on too strong. And-" He pushed back a piece of her hair from her eye. "I don't want to mess up again."
"I should hope so," he replied, chuckling a little, her hair tickling his nose. "It would sadden my soul if someone unlawful courted you," he continued, shaking his head sorrowfully.
He froze for a moment, holding so still he almost seemed like a statue. Slowly, he moved away from her, to look at her fully. "Are you teasing, or are you really being serious?" He asked, his eyebrows knit together.
"Mmm, that just puts more pressure on me to not screw up," he joked, the smile faltering a little. The vampire wasn't completely joking when he said this; she had technically given him the green light, though still... Didn't girls usually say something though meant something completely different?
He let out a strangled yelp at the sudden movement. He caught himself by putting his hands on either side of her to keep from falling on her. "You know there was a simpler way, than me almost crushing you," he dryly said, his eyebrows raising in amusement.
He sighed slightly, trying to get her closer, without putting much weight on her. "It's getting late," he suddenly mused, turning his head slightly to look at the TV. The screen had gone blue, something neither Jason nor Mikey had never fixed, and the numbers flashing indicated that it was almost midnight.
