He shrugged and leaned against the wall, propping the underside of his foot against the grimy wall. "OK, I guess. Why do you ask?" He said, his eyes narrowing suspiciously. Elizah slowly fingered the small blade in his pocket, something he had managed to keep in his pocket. It wasn't big enough to cause any real damage, it was mainly used as a last resort, something that could injure the other person, though to no great extent.

" Just making sure," SHe chuckles, sliding into the shadows and disappearing," Can you see me?" try cover your eyes with tar.. it was just like that except for the sputtering glow of the candle

Elizah frowned and squinted his eyes, trying to find her. His eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, but it wasn't enough. He could see a faint outline of something, though it could very well be his imagination.

" the dark playing tricks on you, love?" The girl's voice sang far from where he was looking

He let out a faint growl, his hands clenching into a fist. He scanned the area, trying to find where she was, and called out, trying to stop the whine that threatened to creep into his voice, "Why are we doing this? What will this accomplish?"

" It's just-" her voice suddenly seems right next to his ear, so close that her breath tickled his neck," fun."

He tensed, his lip curling as a snarl, as he swung his fist, trying to connect it anywhere. "This isn't a joke, you know," he snarled, irritation clouding his eyes.

His fist only slammed into the wall, the sharp mud splitting his knuckles," Ohohoh! But it's hilarious!" Her voice crows, seeming to be all the way across the room

He pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm down. He finally slid down the wall, feeling the grim and muck seep into his cloths. He stretched his legs out, not bothering to play along with her anymore; it seemed that whatever he did, it was like he was acting as a kid in her eyes.

" oh? Are you finally ready to start acting like an adult?" This time her voice was close but still a few feet away, there was an audible mocking tone that laced her words with sarcasm

"So glad I got your approval," he snorted, crossing his hands over her chest, his eyes still closed. "I'll remember to put that on my report back to my boss, I'm sure he'll be so proud of me."

" That you acted like a toddler? Yes he would be proud.." She growls back for the darkness

"Please, I act like a child, not a toddler, get it right," he replied, sarcasm slipping into his voice.

" then i suppose you'll just curl up and pout and whine, yeah?"

"And why on earth would I? I haven't lost, have I?" He demanded, frowning a little as he spoke.

" You're just a puffed up tot, so why WOULDNT you?" She counters,"... Immature, whiny, childish, judgemental... You cant even imagine the real world, can you?"

"Oh please, I've seen more of the real world than you will ever see," he replied, rolling his shoulders as he talked. "What with you being stationed at one dock like some sort of dog; always wanting to please your master. It's all the same with your kind."

" 'with my kind'..." She repeats softly... The room drops i temprature almost immediately, literally frost was suddenly crawling over his skin," you have no idea..." Her voice had become so low that it was just a cold hiss

"Please, you have no idea what you're talking about. Hell, you probably have no idea what this world truly is. It's all the same with your kind. Kind of easy to understand why we're in control," he replied bitterly, his eyes narrowing. "Your kind just needs to understand their place."
