Adelaide C. Halden, read the neat name-plate next to the door of a swanky, uptown Brooklyn penthouse. Inside, the walls and floors were made of marble and party decor marred the clean white surfaces. Adelaide decided that, upon the coming of the New Year, it was only appropriate to throw a party. Granted, she wasn't necessarily the High Warlock of Brooklyn, but silky-haired, exotic Adelaide felt she has enough popularity to bring about a party that will make even hell rise--if the pesky nephellim don't bother her.
She sat perched on her stool as she applied a bit of makeup to her already-perfect face. Her skin was a warm caramel--a result from her mixed heritage--and had clear hazel eyes and jetty, silky black hair that fell to her mid-back. She smirked into the mirror, noting with detached familiarity her warlock's mark--snake fangs and a serpent's tongue. She was sure no guests would arrive so early, so why not spend some time pampering herself?
Her friend silently creeped in through a window as a fly, the fey had unusual abilities to mask herself as any animal or creature. She slipped into the room not a single sound until she came up behind Adelaide and shifted into one of the most hated Nephilim around "why hello there" the males voice cooed, this wasn't her but she loved the rouse it always pushed from her friend.

With a startled grunt, Adelaide enarly slipped from her stool. Quickly grabbing onto her dresser, the warlock insstincitvely drew out hand, blue flames sparking to lfie at her fingertips as she whipped around to see the fey--disguised as a nephellim. She blinked rapidly, confusioon clouding her hazel eyes as she scowled. "What is a nephellim doing in my house?" she demanded crankily, lowering her flaming hand. "Can't a warlock throw a party in peace? How did you even get in here?"
The male voice turned feminine and the girl couldn't help but laugh and fall to the ground "oh god, it gets better and better every time" she shifted into her friend and held out a hand with flaming fingers in the same position "cant a warlock throw a party in peace" she mimicked then laughed. Emily was a trickster, and it was always so fun to be her.

A mix if annoyance and relief flashed in her hazel eyes. With a groan, Adelaide allowed the flames at the tips of her fingers to die out as she massaged her temples instead. "God," she muttered, trying her best to scowl at the faerie. "Emily, I was terrified!" Adelaide retorted with a shake of her head. "That's like, the THIRD time you pulled that on me!"

Adelaide couldn't help but let out a soft gasp as she pulled her close. She sighed. "Harr, harr." She laughed sarcastically, struggling against her grip. "Very funny, dear."
She let her go then shifted into the familiar face her friend knew, a tall beautiful woman with orangey red hair that cascaded down her back in light waves and her bangs brushed to the right side of her face. She had a grey benie on as well as a white loose tank top and jeans with combat boots.

Adelaide smirked, resting a hand on her hips. She was dressed for the occasion in a low-riding pair of skinnies and a black shirt with a rather scandalously plunging v-neck. Her lips were painted a rich red and she couldn't help but smirk at her, flashing her serpent fangs. "I'm glad you showed up first."

Adelaide gave her friend and admonishing look, eyebrows knitting together. "Oh, I wish." she joked, turning around to examine herself in the mirror. "But alas, I don't want to attract unecessary nephellim. You know how they are," she drawled, touching up her makeup. "Do you think I look okay?"
"Why do you still ask me that when you know you look amazing?" she asked crossing her arms and then grabbing her friends make up bag and rummaging through it till she found eye liner and a perfect pink lip gloss to put over her already daring red lipstick. She put on a thicker line of eye liner and slipped the gloss across her lips "so who all is coming?"

Adelaide great fully puckered her full lips and alowwed her to touch up her makeup. She was glad her friend was so easy to talk to. "Honestly, you make me woder what you see in me," she commented before giving a laugh. "You look remarkable yourself. And just abou every cool downworlder I know shall be present, love."

Adelaide let out a yelp as she toppled over onto the floor, unable to hold back a laugh as Emily had her pinned down. "You're movin a little a quick, aren't you?" she asked cheekily. "But me some dinner first, Em."
(Wait so are they a couple or just friends that act like it? XD)

(Ahh I see~)
Adelaide chuckled. "I can see that," she flashed a fanged smirk. The warlock swung her arms around Emily's waist before flipping their positions in one fluid movement. She flashed another smirk, her rich black hair cascading around Emily like a luxurious veil. Adelaide quirked an eyebrow. "Anything you wanna do before the guests arrive?"
