He helped the baby to be removed from its mothers womb and finally all it was up to was Ferin,"Ok Ferin one last big push!"

Colene continued to clean her brow, wiping it of sweat.

She yelled out, pushing again, her hand squeezing Colene's hand. God, she wanted Carter here with her so much.

Finally the pain dimmed and there was cries from the bloody child which the doctor now held, laying it on the blood covered towel and clamping the umbilical cord with his fingers tightly before cutting it then tying it. He washed the baby, giving Ferin time to rest her body before he swaddled the crying child and handed it to its mother "it's a ___" he announced as he handed her the child, beckoning for Cei to help him clean up.

"Jared Cei," Farin was exhausted and in pain, but she still held her baby with the strength of a proud mother. She kissed his wrinkled head, stroking the soft fuzz of hair with her hand, "Our baby boy."

Cei hurried over, blushing when he heard her mention his name as the child's middle name.

Colene smiled,"he's beautiful Ferin, come, let me take him while you rest, Carter should be here when you awake" she said happily, holding her hands out to receive the now calmed child.

Farin kissed his head again, nuzzling her face against Jared, "Okay, but should I feed him first?"

Colene retreated her hands and looked at the doctor,"no not yet, but very soon, in a shifting of the sun, after that hour is up and your baby is fed then you may sleep, you have done well young one" he said to them as he cleaned her of blood and Cei cleaned what was on the ground.

Farin smiled, and it was a tired expression, "Thank you for all your help, doctor."

He nodded and told her to call for him whenever she needed something else.

Farin held her little boy close, kissing his head lightly.

Colene watched the child happily, wishing she and cei could be as happy as carter and Ferin would be so soon.

"Would you like to hold him, Leney?" Farin asked with a soft smile.

She smiled and nodded softly, taking the outstretched child gently and supporting him with care.

She leaned her head back against the pillow and smiled, "He's perfect."

"I can't wait for Carter to see him," She whispered, closing her eyes.
