Hearing the sound of a buck being shot she walked from her room, the guards not really caring what she did. She walked out to the stables and slowly approached the baby mare her father had purchased but never been able to touch. She pet it gently, calming it down.

Valgar approached the dead buck and kneeled beside it, whispering something to himself. He then began to butcher the deer, putting the meat in his leather pack which had salt in it.

She smiled, since the young horse had been bought she was the only one able to touch it.

"Im not wanted where others are," she said, her blue-green gaze averted. The king had worked a few things into her skull: she was not wanted, she was not pretty, she would never amount to anything, and above all else she was not to meet anyone important, and if she did, avert her gaze so they knew she wasn't worth their time.

Her eyes flickered up to meet his for a moment, they were wonderful, and even though they remained locked with his for only a moment, that single moment showed the emotion everyone tried to sympathize with, not only pain and sadness, but odd enough, happiness.

His eyes though remained hard and mask-like, but there was a certain warmth there too,"... Are you afraid? I's understand if you were.."

"I'm not afraid of you, im afraid of what you would do," she said calmly, the mare nudging her shoulder unlike it had done to anyone previously.

" And what would I do?" He asks gently, the small smile staying fixed on his lips

"How should I know," she asked, her eyes hardened and her emotions guarded.

" Then don't assume that i'll hurt you," he murmurs with a tiny smile," So can i show you something, half sister?"

She narrowed her eyes at the ground "what is it you oddly wish to show me?"

" Something that can't be discussed here," He shrugs

She nodded "okay, lead me" she said raising her head but not meeting his gaze.

He smiles and turn on his heel, walking away
