The nonles here have metal related magic and in Maus, certain bloodlines had metal related magic, maus was steampunk and Mistborn is well... Whatever, there was an evil royal family jn Maus and... Measure pokes her head out of the bedroom door and slowly steps out. She looks around drowsily and follows the smell back downstairs.

There was the soft sound of plates and sizzling of something on a pan, the light from the doorway flickered as a shadow passed over it

( Missed you too! X'3 I had to go and visit my grandmother for awhile and do a bunch of other stuff. )

She quietly pads over to it, careful not to step too heavy as she moved forward. She pokes her head in the doorway and looks in curiously.

Ookami was rummaging through some drawers in the kitchen as an odd squash looking thing roasted and sizzled in a pan with some chunks of meat, he was looking at a tiny bottle of what looked like herbs.. Spices probably

Measure scratches the side of her neck, calming her antsy self down. She still wasnt used to him yet. She walks in and moves around the counter looking at all the bits and bobs on the shelves and on the counter space.

Ookami glances up, the bottle eing tucked against his shirt," Hello!" He chirps brightly, flashing a perfect picture smile at her

She blinks a few times at him before the corners of her lips tilt up and she smiles back at him, "Hello," she leans against the counter and looks at what he was doing, "I woke up and smelled something,"

Ookami smirks faintly," Good smell or bad smell as in too many smells?" He asks softly, his eyes glittered playfully

"Good smell in as I don't have to open a window and throw out whatever could-have-been-abomination," she chirps widening her smile.

Ookami sticks his tongue out," Then you don't have to worry about a THING!" He grins, ruffling her hair gently , the band of zinc needles across his chest jingling faintly

She looks at the vials, her pink eyes focusing on them like a child about to take the ornaments off of a Christmas tree, "What are those?"

" these?" He points to the needles with a soft grin

"Mhm!" She nods her head up and down.

He ruffles her hair playfully before pulling the sizzling meet off the stove," Zinc needles, they're weapons for when i hunt the Bad Ones and for protecting us against skaas. In Allomancy they make peoples' emotions go haywire, gives me more mental speed and steals emotional fortitude from others... Is also good for stabbing and slashing

She wriggles her toes and tilts to the side looking at the food, "Bad Ones?" She wonders aloud curiously. "And why do Skaas try to hurt us...?"

" They dont like our power, they are afraid of us," He frowns but ruffles her hair," Ya see, our family is here to protect this valley from Bad Ones, thats why i go out every day, to keep them from leaving the valley and spreading,"

Her loose curls bounce about, brushing her neck or twisting out to the sides as he ruffles her hair again. "Oh..." She nibbles on her lip and tilts her head down in thought. "I think... I understand. A little."

He chuckles and muses softly," Don't worry about it, as long as those walls are around the estate, you'll be juuuust fine," glancing atthe sizzling food and yelping a bit when he sees the meat had started to burn

"I-I'm not scared," she insists with a huff, "Just worried--that's all." She smiles watching him try and save the food from a terrible faint, a small giggle escaping her.
