"I-i'm not crying," he objects weakly, tears running down from his eyes, "J-just got salt... in mah eye,"

She carries him to the simple bed and sits down, cradling him," It's ok... Just cry.. Then we'll clean you up.." She murmurs into his messy hair

He shakes with each sob that stacks his chest, his fingers fisting his shirt.

She huhs the little boy close to her chest," It's ok... I think i'm going to walk with you back to the ship, mk?" She murmurs

He shakes his head quickly and chokes on a hiccup, "Ya dun' wanna do that."

" I want you to be safe," she murmurs, stroking his hair

"I won't be," he whimpers shaking even more, "He'll kill you, and then come to find me."
