"You think I'm great?" Chance opened his eyes and looked over at her.

" Mhm!" She chirps and pulls away, holding his hands," You're a good 'experiment'... No. You're a good human!@

He looked down at his feet, "Oh, I don't know. I don't think anyone considers me human."

" Except us Moes," she laughs softly, sitting down with crossed legs in front of him

Rosemary had led Chance to a small scoop in the rocks of the cave filled with an odd soft moss, she had pulled him down next to her and fallen asleep in the soft mossy pod, the fungi seeming to glow faintly...

What seemed like seconds later... There wasloud hissing in unison from the main cavern,

Chance hadn't yet drifted off and was simply staring at the ceiling of the cave when he heard the hiss. His body stiffened and his eyes changed- the pupils dilated and became sharper.

Rosemay seemed completely dead to the world. Sleeping soundly next to him

The hissing rises into thousands of scrabbling claws and loud growling.... But the sounds tucked into the hollows of te cave an white eyes stared at the small fountain as figure dressed in white uniforms were poking the water with rods...

Chance gently removed himself from Rosemary's side and stood up. He was remarkably quiet on his feet as he crept toward the hissing. He recognized it as the Moes and could only guess that they were hissing at intruders- humans.

The largest six moes were circling just beyond the entruders, their small teeth bared in their wide, grinning mouths. Their talons clicking impatiently thoughthey seemed to know something he didnt if they havent pounced yet..

Chance watched from afar, not willing to reveal himself. He couldn't have them get close to Rosemary, since she was sleeping.

" This is a search and retrieve mission, Jekyl, not a search and destroy... We gotta get those two to hook up... 'Naturally and forcefully'," the second answers, the other four figures seeming to be monitoring the water

His gaze flicked back and forth between all of the men, gauging how to attack to easily take them all down with little injury. Ordinarily, he'd never think about attacking a human, but his mind was telling him 'Protect'.
