"Yeah," she sags her shoulders a bit before pushing off of the table, "I need to go get those shells before he has a panic attack or something."

She tilts her head, puzzled, "Whaddya mean by that?--"

" 'EEEEY!!" A familiar voice howls just as a glider lands nearby

"ohhhh..." she shakes her head and walks outside, "You meant that,"

Leun leaps off te glider with a whoop and raises a tattered noble banner triumphantly with a howl

Adney's lip twitches and she smiles, the muscles of her back tightening into knots, "Did you scare them off...?"

Gramps starts to cough heavily

The squirrel springs out of her shirt, and she quickly steps back and looks at the old man, "Are you okay?" she asks quickly, controlling the urge to scream. What were they going to do when the capital found out?!

Gramps shrugs and glares at her as if saying 'Dropping HINTS XC'. Leun straightens her hair out as much as possible and chirps," Don't worry... Our village is lost in legend for the nobles, the only way they'd ind out about us is if they trekked trough the exact same path."

Her eye twitches again and she fists her large sweater, "Leun... have you ever thought that maybe, we aren't in their legends as much anymore, as we are in their council?" the front of her bangs twinges upwards defiantly, "They're looking for places with greenery, since the rest of the planet is dead."

" But the forest is too toxic to be inhabited, thats why they always go around the Valley!" He protests but grins and scoops her up happily

"Iiiiiiidiot!" she wails kicking her legs, laughter spilling out of her mouth, "Pumme downnnn!"

" NEVER!!" He yowls and tosses her onto his shoulder, tramping up the stairs next to the forge to the apartment above

"YES!" she insists while smacking his back with her fists, "I can walk by myseeeeelf,"

He reaches back and bops her head gently, ploppin her onto a couch, sitting down nearly on top of her and grins
