Do you remember him? The vampire who gained the title 'goddess of seduction', the one seen at one of the warlock's parties and courted by the Unseelie king himself? I'm sure you do. He was unforgettable. The graceful lilt to his steps, the way his pale skin glowed in the colorful lights on the dance floor. But things have changed.
He's now unable to enter the light. He's lost his protective layering. And therefore... he's lost his lover. Or... has he?
Okay, so it was sort of an a*shole thing to do. Lucien realized that and even so, it didn't stop him. Perhaps it was just the Unseelie in him. He couldn't fool around with a vampire forever, though, could he? He was needed in the Faerie Realm. Damn it, he was king! He couldn't shirk off his duties just to play around with Zhenya.
So even as he paid a visit to the Human World, Lucien reminded himself not to get too caught up. His little...lover had probably moved on anyways.

The blonde was walking past the familiar alleyway in front of the Seelie portal, expression void of any emotion other than joy at the night. Pale hands were stuck in pockets, and the sashay to his hips gave him a human appearance. Before, he would wear designs of only the highest quality, but recently a lot had changed. His once long white locks were now cut and styled, only reaching the nap of his neck and were most of the time styled upward with gel. His once designer styled clothing were now replaced with simple jeans and a dark t-shirt underneath a thin jacket. The paint on his nails, once a bright red, was replaced with a shiny black, and his high heels, that caused others to make fun of him for looking like a girl, were replaced with flat black converse. His face, once adorned with so much makeup that it took away from his masculinity, was now bare except for the light BB Cream he wore and the faint eyeliner that enhanced his natural beauty. He looked like he had reverted several years, looking more like a nineteen year old boy rather than a five hundred year old sex vampire.
Lucien was flanked by two Unseelie guards, sentries who didn't speak a word unless strictly ordered to, though he regarded them mostly as invisible. Currently, the king was glamoured to look like any normal human. No pointed ears or slightly green tinted skin. No sharp teeth or changing eye colors. Just regular. It was easier this way, to look plain. He didn't usually trick humans like other faeries. This was purely a visit to get away and clear his head.

It had been such a long time that he didn't actually recognize Lucien until he was closer to the male. They were passing one another on the street, and any normal human or person with strangers would simply move away a bit to allow more room for their fellow walker. However, Zhenya did something completely different; when moving away, he completely shied away, trying to put as much space between them as possible before he continued on his way. Though he wasn't known to become emotionally attached, his heart hurt when he thought about being betrayed by the Unseelie king. It wasn't like it was anything surprising; the Unseelie were exactly what their name implied. Unseelie. The unkind faeries.
Lucien hadn't really been paying attention either, especially since the old Zhenya would never have shied away like that, but something in the male's face sparked recognition. He paused and glanced back over his shoulder at the retreating male.

Blue eyes, an unnatural glowing color, closed with his head slightly down as he continued to walk, and though his eyes were closed, he still didn't run into anything or anyone.

He stopped in his tracks, feeling time seem to slow and the beings around he and the Unseelie king slow in their movements. He kept his eyes closed, inhaling a soft breath to slow his fast beating heart- for some strange reason, it was beating. Why? He was a vampire, he was undead. Strange. But not as strange as anything else he had encountered. His fingers slipped together at his side, pale in contrast to the black nail polish, before his hand clenched in a fist.
The hesitation was clear to him and Lucien knew that he was right in assuming this was Zhenya. The vampire looked different, but it was still him. He turned around and approached the now stationary vampire.
"I wish you hadn't met me, really," Lucien offered him a soft, barely recognizable smile and shrugged one shoulder in an offhand manner, "Things would have remained simple that way."
Lucien shook his head, lost in his own thoughts for a moment. He couldn't imagine not meeting the charming vampire, but he couldn't deny that it would have been easier if he hadn't, "Anyways, I just thought I'd apologize since I ran into you, Zhenya." He turned around, prepared to walk away, "Oh, and you look good, by the way."
"Sir.." One of the sentries went to speak, but Lucien whirled around to him, "Don't speak out of turn- know your place." He didn't want to be spoken too about this situation.
