Colton smiled with a little more confidence and grasped Nick's hand firmly, "Oh, yeah, likewise."

"So... a friend, huh?" Nick asked, glancing over at Mira with a raised eyebrow. She glared back at him, arms crossed over her chest. "I'm not involved with every guy I know, Nick."

Colton blinked and waved his hands immediately, "Oh, yeah, no, we're just friends," he said quickly, sounding sheepish.

Nick chuckled. "Whatever you say," he said. "Come join the party," he added, waving his hand. He turned and took a cup of beer from another guy. "Smuggling this onto the Academy wasn't easy."

Colton laughed, "Alcohol? Yeah, I bet it wasn't."

Nick laughed and handed the cup over to Colton. "Drink. Enjoy."

Colton took the cup and took a swig, "Thanks.."

Mira took a cup for herself and held it up to Colton. "Cheers," she said before taking a few gulps.

He smiled, "So..do you party often?"

"As often as there is one," Mira said with a shrug. "Otherwise life gets boring."

Colton smiled, "Well, there's always /something/ to do."

Mira made a face. "Like what?" she asked.

"There's plenty! Writing, reading, singing, all of that," Colton shrugged.

Mira wrinkled her nose. "Seriously? Boring."

Colton laughed heartily, "You're hard to please."

Mira grinned. "You bet I am," she said.

"What do /you/ like to do?" He grinned.

Mira held up her cup to him. "Party," she said with a grin. Then she took a swig of her drink.

Colton laughed and shook his head, "But that can't be the only thing."
