"Huh..... Well, does he like you back?" Jessica asked, glancing at Ari with an expression that was, for once, devoid of desire or lust. Just curiousity

" I think so... I mean.. We've..." She blushes deeply and looks away

Jess's eyes widen and she laughes heartily. "You did? I want to meet this boy who beat me to you!!" She chuckles with a grin. "But if you did have sex, then if he's a monk, he'd stay with you. Stuff about honor and all that."

" We have different lives... Sadly," she answers softly," I'm afraid that if anyone found out... We'd have a big... Mess," she replies softly, blushing and rubbing the back of her neck

Jessica scoffed at that, rolling her eyes. "Then run away. You make it seem like you have no choice to do anything in your life. Are you a coward, or are you a lion, little cub?" Jess asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

Ari can't help but wince at the Lion refernence, she wanted to say 'we're BOTH lions! That's why we can't run!' But she remains silent and bashful. Unable to respond

Jess sighes and shakes her head. "Well, where is this monk then, huh?" She eventually asked as they kept walking

Jessica let out a sigh. "Jeez, you've just got one problem after another, huh?" She asked with a chuckle. "What kinda guy is he?"

" He's... Nice... And protective of me," Ari starts softy, eventualy finding a place on the out skirts of the camp where she sat down," We have to act like we're best friends so no one thinks any different... He taught me how to swing a sword around pretty well and he just...

Jessica sat down next to her with a thud, leaning back on her hands to prop herself up. She listened, surprisingly, and then raised an eyebrow. "He just...?" She trailed off questioningly.

" He just... Is a good guy... Thats why I don't want to ruin him," she murmurs softly

At that, Jess laughs. "YOU?! Little cub, I doubt you know how to actually ruin a man." SHe teased, chuckling and shaking her head.

Ari shrugs weakly and whispers," You'd be suprised.."

Hmmm.... Nah, let's instead skip to middle of next day, after Ari spends a full day of actually learning about the healing arts from Song, since she has nothing else to do XD))

"... And you mix these two together after mashing them to a fine power. Add a bit of water, and you've got a pretty good burn salve." Song instructed, standing behind Ari as she guided her hands in using the mortar and pestle to crush the herbs Song had collected. They had spent most of the day learning, or at least Ari did, about the healing arts. Luckily, there were plenty of hurt bandits to work with, and they were surprisingly very polite to the two girls, especially Song

Ari was suprised at the way they acted but quicky grew used to it, coming to enjoy it infact. She watched Song curiously, her blue eyes sparkling with curiosity," O-ok, I think I got it," she murmurs and frowns slightly, trying to remember it all

Song smiles at her young apprentice sweetly. She was always so kind to Ari, it was a wonder she had anything to do with these bandits. "You're doing great Ari. You'll make a wonderful healer someday." She praised before guiding her pupil over to one of the injured bandits. He was laying down in one of the cots made, and his whole left leg was covered in a burn. Song had given him something to ease the pain and make him drowsy, but he still opened his eyes and have a faint acknowledging nod to the two before shutting them again. "Here, put it along his burns. Don't be afraid of his injury." Song said soothingly

Ari looks at her nervously before dipping her fingers into the salve and murmuring," I'm sorry if it stings but... I bet the burn hurt worse. You know.. In my village, there was a big fire once that spread from a battle field. We have lots of horses and chickens... You would've laughed-" she kept talking and when she was done telling the story, the salve was all applied...
