Forest squeaks and disappears

" Jerriks..." Henry murmurs,"... She's too dangerous..."

He sighed and rubbed his face, "I told the hospital that we'd try this out for a bit and if things got too bad, she'd be taken away. My mother wants to and if it will help with the research on her..disorder, it's good. So far, things have been alright."

" How do we know this isnt an act? How do wr know she isn't just hamming you up so she can kill us all like her family?!" Henry hisses urgently

"She's not 'hamming me up', Henry," River muttered in annoyance, "She's just staying at our house. All she is..is a guest. I'm doing this purely for the research."

" She's a threat, just sleep with a pistol..." Henry grunts and suddenly take a step back in suprise

There was a little thud andthen a louder one

River sighed and glanced back at the door, "Shit, I should go check on her. Just try not to worry so much, Henry."

Henry nods and backs away slowly

Forest was on her back, staring at him with large guilty eyes as she hugs a picture frame to her chest and grins with the most guilty smile a human could possibly muster

He walked back in and looked down, "..." River paused, "Forest, what are you doing?"

" It fell when i was reaching for it," se mumbles and holds it out to him, it was a picture of his father when he had first joined the force

River took the photo frame from her and held it close, "Why were you reaching for it?"

" I thought i recognized him, from a dream of something," She whispers and sniffs

"He's my father," River kept his voice level as he hung the picture back up, "That picture was taken when he first joined the police force."

"... He looks nice," she smiles and grins

"He was great," He smiled softly and straightened the frame.

" I feel like i've seen him before," She smiles and hugs her chest happily

He shrugged, "Maybe you've seen other pictures of him. He's pretty well-known around here."

" mmmm maybe!!" She grins and rocks on her heels, tilting her ead

"Now..Forest. I have to tell you something," River took a deep breath, "People in this town..aren't going to treat you all that well. They are still going to harbor negative feelings toward you."

" Yes... I know," She mumbles and smiles weakly
